Seems like it would be common sense. It's a creation that took ages to grow.
It's disturbing how much physical junk mail I receive everyday. I open the mailbox and it's stuffed with garbage mail/ads/stuff that doesn't apply to me at all, and then a bill or 2.
How much paper is wasted per year to send me something that goes DIRECTLY into my trash bin? Then I realize there's 20 other houses on the street. In a row of 10 streets in my little area of this town.
I can attest to the hatred that most highway engineers have towards trees in the UK. I spent a few years writing specifications for the landscape design element of several major highway construction schemes and I used to half jokingly refer to trees that were to be planted as 'site of future stump'.
For possible the first time I have an issue with a tree and building Boss tells me horse chestnut roots can get in under the foundations so told me to cut it back (to stop the roots spreading -?)
As I guard all our living things jealously I need to know more ChrisB may have the answer ..... please
We had a 50 odd year old Wisteria dug up when we extended. No chance it would live - obviously. Cut back severely, roots looked knackered Helped I checked out what the builders did and found the soil had not been pushed down after it was moved. Stamped it down, added more earth and water
12 years later it is doing fine and trying to take over the garage !

I walked out of a film yesterday because I was too scared. Went to see Barbarian by myself. Justin Long is in it and the last two films I've seen of his he was out of this world in terms of expressing shock/overwhelming fright. I never even got to see him.
Bill Skarsgard is in this film too. The guy who played Pennywise in the new IT films.
I felt that I could see where this was going and it reminded me too much already of so much that's reported in the news and I just walked out.
Has anyone ever walked out of a movie not because of boredom but because they didn't want to see/hear anymore?
I can't say I've ever been that deeply affected by a film. I have felt similarly powerful emotions about films but in a positive way. I have to say, having just read the synopsis, it looks like a fairly harrowing watch.
I didn't use to need the internet, my wife knew everything.
"Barbarian" is nerve-racking - from the opening seconds, not minutes, but seconds of the film, director Zach Cregger immediately immerses viewers in an experience that leaves knuckles white, nails bitten, and minds consistently wondering what on God's green earth could possibly happen next.
