Purely in terms of aesthetics I prefer yours Martin! So do I. It would be quite a large room that they could be used in, so perhaps their size would look more reasonable in such a space.

Who believes this Russ Andrews Mains Block represents value for money at £1500?

Without trying it, how could you know? It doesn't SEEM to represent good value but we don't know what's inside it.

I imagine there are better ways to spend £1500. It might work well...

...but we don't know what's inside it. We do, because the video shows us what's inside it, if we watch it.

I see filters and what looks like Kimber cabling. I'm not even defending it, I know most of RA's products are overpriced.

All I could see was some silver cabling and a little 'Superclamp' spike / surge circuit.

This is amazing, a real game changer. An amplifier stand that does this - - Specifically designed for MC901 Dual Mono Amplifier - Made from sustainably sourced solid white ash - Jet-black stain with a catalyzed lacquer topcoat Just incredible, I can't imagine the years of R&D that has gone into this revolution in audio, what an upgrade that must be. Now where's my £4K?

If you can afford £80K for a pair of ( quite pretty i.m.o) 901s... And it has got catalyzed lacquer. Mind you, "catalyzed lacquer" tells you bugger-all really. There's pre-catalyzed laquer, where a hardening catalyst is already in the laquer before it's applied, or post-catalyzed laquer, where the hardening catalyst is added after the laquer has been applied. "Catalyzed laquer" could be either of those. It also doesn't match the amp, in so much as the MC901 must be the only Mcintosh amp that doesn't have a predominantly black fascia. So, other than the price, the look, and the pseudo-scientific bollocks used to describe it. Quite nice.

'Bollocks' is an eminently erudite & succinct summary of the audiophile smoke and mirrors forthwith.
And those speakers look like they were designed by the Cackmeister General himself.
I thank you Gentlemen.

McIntosh. Again.
The RS150 Wireless Speaker.
Reminds me of my old Wharfedale Diamonds with a VU meter and a couple of knobs. Surprised it isn't bulging with tubes. Looks cheap, but isn't at 5k.

Speaking as a " Big Meter" fetishist, even I think that this is, sadly, a meter too far from McIntosh.

I would never spend 2k on a wireless speaker, but if I did, it would be this Pantheone where you actually get something for your money unlike that McIntosh tat. The spec and build looks rather impressive and I really like the sculptural aesthetic.
