So, does one channel sound good and the other sound crap?

Yes if you think about the concept for more than a nanosecond it doesn't really work!

Tacky in extremis.

It looks fine but not as nice as Mr PS Audio thinks. For $20-30k I might expect a bit more aesthetically but if it sounded mind-blowing I wouldn't worry about the looks.

They have an Infinity IRS speaker system. If they've been using that as their target, the new PS Audio speakers should be pretty good. Look at their depth!
They will be directly competing against Wilson Audio at that price.

It's B&W again!
Check out these Nautilus speakers.
I think they would look ridiculous in most homes unless you had something super contemporary and minimalist. They look like they belonged to Blofeld from the 007 films.

Wow. A Louis Vuitton light up speaker for just over 2k.
What an essential Xmas present it is!
Looks like it should be sold at Toys R Us.

Whilst researching my latest fascination with Bi--amplifying my system, I came across these behometh mono-blocs from McIntosh! Each mono-bloc weighs 77 Kgs and measures 17.5" wide X 13.5" high X 29.5 " deep. Each amp consists of a 600 watt solid-state amplifier for the bass and a 300 watt vacuum tube amplifier to drive the mid/hgh section of your speakers, while only requiring one input (single-ended or balanced) from your preamp and giving the choice between built-in electronic crossovers or wide-open to let your speaker crossovers sort out the input. They are not cheap, at £40K a pair, but for what you get, I think tthey offer good value for money and take all the fiddling around with finding amps of the same gain to bi-amp your system. I don't know why manufacturers have not come up with something like this before! MC901-Top-hi-res_b139bdd796f06fdaea715dd632c16aaf by , on Flickr

I think it resembles one of those monster American truck rigs, but the look has grown on me! Here's the view from the rear, showing output taps of 2 Ohms, 4 Ohms and 8 Ohms for each section of the amp (solid-state and vacuum tube). The fault, for me, lies in the basic premise.
Artificial warmth from valves? No thanks. Also the mismatch by driving the bass and mid/treble bands from different technologies with different feedback paths.

Yes, trippy... I thought Eno had more taste. The old boy must be running low on cash.

Must be - 15k each and most sold I believe.
Mind you there may not be much left after the gallery fees.

It looks more like some arcane implement you'd find in one of those "state-of-the-art," kitchens.
