Essential. One of my favourite RC albums
The Long Riders
His first soundtrack. Has it's moments. Nothing like a normal RC album. Music refers back to the civil war and the mess after, Frank and Jesse James included.
Probably unique in the style of music for a RC album. Try it if curious
Borderline
Close to essential. 8/10 from me.
The Slide Area
10/10 Essential. A must for any collection

Quite rare is the double soundtrack CD for
The Border. Tracks ranges from so so to wonderful. Worth having for sure.
Alamo Bay. Very nice. Great tracks with some noodling. Bordering on essential
Paris, Texas. Wonderful, thoughtful guitar. Too short ! Skip the talking track

Rough sound quality, looks official but likely a bootleg- Don't worry about this one
Blue City. Another soundtrack with RC songs as well.
7/10 from me. I'd buy it again for the good tracks

Essential - as is the film. A must watch. No spoilers, just watch it. Steve Vai makes a guest appearance

A rarity I thought was a bootleg. Maybe it is Faint screen, maybe not reakly available on Spotty so YouTube may give part or all below Live, acoustic, fair quality. I quite like it. Fine if you want to hear everything our man has done Trespass Soundtrack Not recommended even for soundtrack hunter SteveC Noises "heavily influenced by experimental jazz". A bit weird is how i'd describe it A meeting by the river - with V.M Bhatt Mostly Indian music with Ry doing very little Ok rather than great for me Talking Timbuktu Like it. Where I discovered Ali Farka Toure Try it ! |

Going through the whole catalogue, yes again
Upgrades since the last time have revealed more on almost every album

Wondered if it was because I knew them so well from many years ago, no
Johnny Handsome has nowhere near the plays of the others but is wonderful, music and recording quality.
Some bootlegs seem to have become legit. Confusingly same albums with different names.
One excellent one is
Eel River 1990 with David Lindley.
Not perfect but an amazing amount of detail from a not perfect recording.
Hunt it down
