Has anyone got experience with either (or preferably both)?
Which do you rate more?
What do they do for your system?
I’ve got mainly SR blue in my system and like them a lot; although my power amps have generic (I think, I’ve not checked) fuses in them currently, I imagine changing this will net me a significant upgrade, as I got with my Magtech amp.

I only have experience of SR Blue and Red. I have one Blue powering the system's regenerator and all the others are Red. Both are significantly better sounding than stock fuses, with the Blue having a slightly warmer character.

The Orange is respectable step up against the blue, maybe Brett could chime in hear he has a few for a couple of weeks now, not there against the AM yet but for the outlay and system configuration the Orange will work in more systems imho

I have the high end Beeswax Ultimate fuses and Orange fuses. Both of them used at the same place, Sony TA-A1ES. This Sony requires 8 fuses and I have installed them all. I did not hear any difference with Beeswax compared to stock fuses. However Orange makes a big difference. Just like you put a new expensive power cable to it. I guess the Sony is not that sensitive to the fuses and you can imagine how big impact Orange can make if put to sensitive places.

Have been successfully avoiding finishing my end of year school reports, but the availability of free time has disappeared. Also have two daughters plus spouse and pets return for a couple of weeks. We call them boomerang children for a reason. I can't get a place to sit, let alone any critical listening time.

Perhaps the herrings will help with the school reports?
Cue the fish jokes...
Oh cod, there's something wrong with my herring. Perhaps I need a sturgeon?

I have been floundering around a little... Flicking through some favourites (while putting off the last stage of reports).
But initial review of the SR Orange fuses:
If you've seen the movie The Castle, "It's the vibe"
Base stronger - seems to hang in the air. Instrument separation more discernible. Again, hearing things in tracks I'd never heard before.
Overall, a huge A+ in my view
Let my Love Open the Door - Pete Townsend (Gross Point Blank) Psycho Killer - Talking Heads (Stop Making Sense) World Mix - Deep Forest Armagideon Time - The Clash Walk on the Wild Side - Lou Reed Paradise Circus - Massive Attack The Decoration - Eyeless in Gaza No Ordinary Morning - Chicane Tilted - Christine and the Queens Biko - Peter Gabriel Wurlitzer Jukebox - Young Marble Giants New Dark Age - The Sound Tomorrow - Bono/Adam Clayton (Common Ground) The Ubiquitous Mr Lovegrove - Dead Can Dance
Wish I had longer, but gotta work some!

Thanks, Brett. I may get an Orange for incoming power and then move the Blue to, say, my power amp.

Another reason it took a while to review.
Have two of my children return to stay, plus son-in-law. The space in my 130m2 house disappeared. Their clutter from: tramping gear (you call it hiking?), and preparations for leaving overseas.
Also, my system developed a continual clicking sound a day after their return. This is with the daughter who has blown every amp I've given her, plus my Perreaux a few years ago. Tried it on two seperate occasions. Hmmm.
They left Thursday morning. Thursday evening, back to normal, and click has disappeared.

No need to fanny about Martin just put orange everywhere, the Orange fuse is the most significant system upgrade this year bar none. I have sold well over 200 maybe more, its a huge improvement over what went before. No one has anything bad to say so far, and I do have some shall we just say "picky" clients. RD would be turning in his grave I expect at the prospect of a £155 fuse but its simply a £155 upgrade the fact its a fuse should make no difference to ones perception of the improved sound quality fitting one brings. Anyway enough waffle I need to get back to processing my black friday sales. LOL

It's not fannying about at £155 a pop, David. I don't have infinite means and neither does anyone else here, to my knowledge.
Noted about the Orange, though, and I'll think about trying one out after Christmas to decide for myself.

Putting Orange to the UK plug of Colin Wonfor power cable is the best of the best.

Putting an orangevinmpretty much any mains cable or piece of equipment makes a positive difference
Littkecx I will take all of those 8 am uktimate fuses off you nomoroblem just PM and I will take the lot
Though i am curious why you spend well over the cost of the player on fuses instead of obtaining a much better model?
Do PM about those fuses

I was reading the guff on the Synergistic Research website and it says - < Subjective improvements include better timbral accuracy where separate instruments and voices take on a new degree of life-like realism > Are there any non-subjective improvements?

Audio Magic has another higher end fuse released, Ultimate Premier Beeswax, 240USD each. I am not going to try this since the Ultimate has no effect at all on my amp. I am very happy with Orange now.

When buying higher priced items ($250/fuse), I rely heavily on reviews, and advice. Athough Ultimate fuses may be damn good, I've not heard of them. SR fuses are what has been suggested. And I can take good advice.

One cost effective way to *not* need fuses is to go for kit with Schuko sockets. My Audio Magic conditioner has an SR Red. Everything else is plugged in Schuko sockets in that
I also imagine no fuse sounds better than any fuse
