Mahler - Symphony No 8, Tennstedt, I know where to go with this one, the finale with that sustained pedal note. The Solti is far better. Inception - Time, it's subtle but this does have some serious air movements, very good! Rhythm & Sound - Mango Drive. It wins through potency rather than extension, but my walls are shaking! Leftfield - Dusted, not much deep bass here Yheti - Crack the Window, oh yes, this will given a chance, great stuff! Nitin Sawnhey - Letting Go, yes I know this well and the whole album has some stunning deep bass Yello - Junior B, yep they do deep bass in spades. The masters of musically interesting synth bass Peter Gabriel - Digging in the Dirt, not bad but there is better bass in Rhythm of the Heat Try the Peter Gabriel - I Grieve track from Up, that has some interesting bass

I think you can see from my ratings so far that plucked bass doesn't qualify and electric bass barely qualifies.
This category needs cathedral organ or synth bass to give us the compressive air movements required for tectonic earthquake bass!

In fear of being burned, here’s a couple of tracks. This one needs deep, tight bass, otherwise it ends up sounding very one note bass
This one around the 4:20 has a solid deep beat that gives that kick in the chest feeling if played loud enough.

Yes John, don't know why I forgot that one. Stupendous bass, overwhelms most rooms. Needs very tightly controlled speakers and amps to reproduce it well.

Drake - God's Plan, In My Feelings: oh yes, power as well as extension. Really great recording, too.
24/44 on Qobuz.

Yes it a great test track I always listen to how well I can hear the drums cymbals and pianio in the background. As tells you how well the bass is being controlled Not many systems do it real justice

Steve, I've tried various Bassotronics tracks. They all excavate ultra deep bass.
David, I'll give that a go on my Ladybird Polly Pocket nonsense streaming system!

Martin, I was watching TV last night and this track came on as background music - the bass was certainly quite arresting even on my small speakers. See how it fares on the Ushers ...

I found it on Qobuz. Great punchiness and nice style from someone I don't know. Yes, there are some good fundamentals in there. High punch rather than low punch, to use John's language.
She sounds a little like Sia crossed with Lorde.

Did you try the Alva Noto tracks yet, Martin? I think your speakers would have fun with 'Garment'.

Alva Noto - both albums - deep bass combined with wispy treble, as described. Some infrasonics on the 2nd album. Musically, it's not for me!
