Utter tosh. Works superbly for music streaming. It was Nov 2018 so could be outdated. I need it for TV streaming and things the boss does.

Unlimited would do it.
More importantly, do you have enough signal strength on whatever service works best? You need to research it.

Have no idea I'll stick with what we have and research for next time Surprised me how fast this renewal came around
Another option I must look at is VOIP. I even have it ready to go once I find out if they still trade, how to set it up and where the little box is

Most family and even some business and subcontractor calls we make are via Messenger or WhatsApp these days. With Marie's family in Sweden video calling is much better for keeping in touch. Can roam over the whole house and garden too. Wouldn't ever think of making a phone call there these days.
My mum and I often speak over our Alexa devices. You just say Alexa call xyz!

Don't have them. If I did can you phone people with only a phone ? Didn't know Alexa was so clever ! They'd need a smart phone with the Alexa app installed. So they don't actually need a physical Amazon device. If you were referring to phone as a landline only, I was going to write something glib about not knowing anyone who only had a landline, but I won't 😀 Why have a phone at all? Postal services still exist 😂

Signed with Plusnet again
In the next 12 months I will check out other options to see if they work and I can risk them.
There is a gap in the market that EE pretend to be filling. Around the same price or more as broadband delivered by phone line, so why change ?
Cautious punters like wot I am need to be sure a new tech laden set up will deliver at least as good as via phone line. Looking at Three's prices that is a lot less than phone line broadband, plus the clever Sim only router at around £70
Cannibalistic if Plusnet were to offer SIM only. They will cut their turnover and profit. Three or other mobile company can make a packet however

There is a gap in the market that EE pretend to be filling. I don't understand? EE are filling it just fine. As I said, I get 35Mbps speed for £25/mo for 100GB (more than I need) in the music room. The main barn only gets 14Mbps for the same price. I'm terminating PlusNet as soon as the contract ends. We don't need a landline, we all have mobile phones.

From what I gather they need a phone line to supply and nowhere near the cheapest. Three could well be the cheapest and pretty good I hear. No guarantee of course Want to hear how you get on with your set up to give me your experience for next year !

I've been using Three for my mobile network for many years. They've always looked after me and have tried sorting out any issues quickly, customer service has been good. I haven't tried their broadband though.
