As I mentioned before Joolz both a very fine devices just how do you like your coffee?
I've been working on an R26 on and off for a couple of months, its shaping up to be very enjoyable dac.

Joolz just how do you like your coffee? Jolly kind of you to offer old bean - cappuccino first choice (assuming coffee from South America) or a fruity little Columbian filter number could be just the ticket.

Just replaced my RME ADI 2 DAC with the Gustard R26.
To say it is an upgrade in sound is to put it mildly, wow!
I'm hearing things in the music that were not apparent before, just outstanding performance.
Looking forward to going through my whole collection, rediscovering my music.

I think I'm going to spend the next six months or so forming a relationship with the sound from this device, to understand the intricacies it presents. Will make any upgrade feel richer and more fullfilling I think. No rush! |

Realistically it 3 to 4 weeks of using it on the weekend,to come on song. Further down the line,l recommended you try a Leo Bodnar clock, you won't believe what your hearing with that in place. And the R26 responsed why to Sheilding the outer mains plug of the input into the DAC. Welcome to the R26 club |

Looking forward to the journey as the sound evolves. I should add I'm feeding it a signal from a Singxer SU-6, via a Cardas Clear coax cable. Also I have Coherent 4D cables powering both the Singxer and R26. Those power cables made a BIG difference in my system. I have a 6D cable powering my Benchmark ABH2 as well. |

Quality power cables then...l use a Leaf Audio USB reclocker and l output to l2s input.

I've noticed that many DACs ship with "adjustable voltage" but the choice is 110 or 220v. So instead of making a 230v version for Europe the makers are saving money by sticking with the Chinese standard of 220v. I use a regen unit that puts out 230v but I wonder how good it would be for the unit if I cooked it with my mains voltage of around 245v? Can't be good for it long term ...
I remember reading elsewhere that a few 220v DACs by a certain manufacturer had spontaneously combusted for supposedly being fed a UK mains voltage they didn't like. Any thoughts?

I set my regenerators to 230V output which is perfectly safe for all European rated components.
