I can understand that.
The Entreq too, requires some period of time to come on song, whereas the RTZ effect is immediately discernible, although Tony says that it does get better, the longer it is left connected.
I'd bring these goodies to you but lugging the 22Kg of Entreq and 15Kg of Coherent RTZ is beyond my back at present.
Shame though, as it would have been an interesting exercise to compare three different design options!

As Tony works through his metallurgic repertoire I tried out his latest top end cables for the RTZ, the BDU
They make a substantial difference.
Detail, separation and a big change in some albums that have the bass recorded properly.
Not cheap but now a permanent fixture in this system.
Auditions available !

You're going down the RTZ route and I'm taking the Mad Scientist route. Both are fun and don't involve any component upgrades, so fit in with our 'final system' approach.

Be interesting to see how they might work together, or not

I'm pleased already with my grounding boxes. The MS stuff is incredible.

Could the MS stuff be more about damping vibration ?

Bob of MS claims it's about RFI reduction.

As a novice outsider I think vibration is favourite

The SGS grounding box that I’ve just received from Jerry came with 2 cables that will enable simultaneous connection to 2 bits of kit.
Is this how people have used them (one grounding box connected to multiple bits of kit), or have you found it leads to ground loop problems (assuming additional ‘ground’ connections between the kit due to interconnects?
Cheers. Bill

Assume you plug it into spare sockets on kit like my RTZ
Results on different sockets could be the same or different
From what I read here it takes a few hours for them and the SGS to really deliver

I found it leads to ground loop problems (not hum, just a reduction in sound quality) and re-cabled my kit to have one grounding box per component (but multiple cables to different ground plane points are fine).
The SGS needs some time to settle.

One of my SGS boxes has four cables all going to different rear panel connectors on my Mutec reclocker. It helps with complex digital equipment.

So in effect you are creating an additional star earth point at the grounding box (assuming the Mutec incorporates a star earth structure internally). Cheers. Bill

It's more that multiple cable runs to equipment generating a lot of ground plane noise helps.

How many grounding boxes are you up to now?

I can report after 7 days of setting up my new RTZ2 from Tony at Coherent,it is sounding really good, especially transparency and better focus, both Bass and upper mid are at another level now. I have 4 leads connected, 2 into the pre-amp inputs and 1 into the pre output and 1 to the Poweramps input. I also own a Gutwire ground lead which fires up my CD5. Will report more info soon

Hi Zimmerman and welcome to TAS. Glad to hear of another member who appreciates the value of grounding boxes. There really is no going back once you hear what they can do.
