Ok,got a new TV today. Now I had my old one hooked up to my amp with a long lead - 2 rca from the back of the tv to my amp. Tried the same with this one but nothing.
Any ideas?

Does it have phono audio inputs on the back? Many TVs these days only have digital inputs.

If you are as hard of thinking as me....
Are you connecting to component or digital sockets ?
Which model and do you have and can you link to a pic of the back panel from the manwell ?

Looks like it's only got the optical digital out, and a headphone out. There's no Audio Line Out shown.

I used to connect my TV that way - have you been into the audio settings? I had to go into a menu to turn up the headphone volume as I remember.

The red/white/yellow are a composite video input.
Looks like you've got it working now?

DAC for a fiver
It could well sound much better if you take the digital output to an external DAC, Chris. Even something like the one in my link above could do wonders for it.

I've used one of those DACs in a PC system and they make a complete nonsense of their price. I'm with ChrisB, telly optical-out to one of those five-quid dacs into your amp is almost certainly going to be an upgrade over using the headphone socket.

I'm not getting the two output sides L/R - is it just a straight standard interconnect as usual?
if so...problems. I'd need a long one
