Yesterday was interesting
Nice bike ride to work at 7am
Office a wee bit too hot, going up to 30'c but had the fan on so I coped.
Maybe not that well as I felt decidedly wrong going home. That was not pleasant.
Perhaps this was as it was earlier than normal, and hotter. Going home to pick up the car to then go to the dentist.
I think 30'c is too interesting for me to cycle in
Nice shower, into the car with time to spare and decided to go the direct route as shorter and school holidays.
I realised why I put in all my shortcuts (longcuts) as I met a lot of traffic. What are so many people doing on the road at 4pm ?
What is it like at 5 ! - and this in school holidays
Very interesting joining the A3 at Guildford - 5-10 minutes wait which blows my contingency time for the dentist
Sonny Landreth keeps me happy with Grant Street though
Get to the dentist just on time. Phew. He's squeezing me in as an emergency so I want to be on time.
Wait 25 minutes - not impressed
I borrowed the other half's car I so don't have glasses, can barely read the mag's in the waiting room ....

We both realise this is bad news. I've lost pain so prognosis is not good.
Drills out filling, pokes around again with an interesting needle about 6' long - well it was a couple of inches at least.

No connection to the server - well this is computers we're talking about - interesting
Connection restored
Shows me the 2 XRays and tells me he could do lots of fancy expensive work but the bone loss almost certainly guarantees failure.
Hmm. Tooth out then
Have to be very careful pulling this as as it is so weak it may snap - oh great
After some time adjusting his grip, digging and twiddling it's out in one piece !
Shows me tooth. That is one knackered tooth.
Ok bite on this pad for 10 minutes then remove.
No eating for 4 hours
Check time. This is 6pm already
I'm more likely to be asleep than eating a meal at 10.
Decide to do without a meal
Drive home
Being an idiot I decide to go the straight route. Traffic is way too interesting and monumental - in school holidays !
Sonny Landreth gives way to Ciccone Youth on the CD player
I will always drive the extra distance in future no matter what time.
Go to bed just after 9 as tired enough
Sleep
Rustle, rustle, pad, pad noises coming from inside the house wake both me and the other half.
This is not good
Gird my loins and prepare for the gits who have broken in, or did we leave a window open , door unlocked.
Light on, door closed in one of the bedrooms
More girding of loins
Open the door very quickly to take the gits by surprise
Stepdaughter and husband may have pooed themselves with my sudden appearance.
Ah it's you ! (I really don't care what why when)
Other half gets up to see her very precious daughter - who unbeknownst to me has been invited to pop in before they go away.
No idea they were coming though. Why don't they talk to each other ?

They brought their 2 dogs so we have 7 now. Cav the devil dog being one of theirs
Oh no, they are also looking after another just like Cav, not quite as manic (impossible)
