I am not as keen on this rendition as the Beethoven - Eugen Jochum, Concertgebouw Orchestra, Amsterdam* – Symphony No. 7 Ludwig van Beethoven - Symphony No. 7 album cover Label: Philips – 6500 090 This was the 1970s Karajan DG cycle, the earlier 1960s one had generally better performances and matching sound. The later 1980s cycle had awful sound and more emphasis was put into the visual recordings than the audio.

As you know, I can only do Beethoven in small portions but having read the glowing review in The Strad of Midori's new recording of the Sonatas I thought I would give it a go. Not all in one bite of course with a 3hr 56m running time ...
It really is so fresh sounding and sumptuously performed with an almost balletic sense of nobility, drama, delicacy and air. Jean-Yves Thibaudet more than plays his part in this.
Midori plays a 1734 Guarneri. Nice.

Stravinsky - Rite of Spring, Suitner, Staatskapelle This is a David Hurwitz recommendation as the 'Blitzkrieg' of all Rites. He's not wrong, it is immensely powerful and well played. open.qobuz.com/track/1155796

The Glass VC is a stunning work which I have also heard live (with PG taking a bow afterwards, no less).

Vanessa-Mae is far too much about herself and not the music.
