Not a very convincing start to the work - his timing and sense of flow seems a bit off; will see if he improves ...

She has to cope with MS as well - a great talent.

She has to cope with MS as well - a great talent. I didn't know that. Very talented.

Interesting Paul!
I find watching these young prodigies somewhat disturbing. Technically very good but there's something slightly detached and robotic about the performance. I don't feel involved in the music. What do you think?
Her bow looks considerably overtightened but maybe the view is misleading.

She obviously has "something" because she won the Menuhin in 2018 but I'm not sure what that something is, over and above technical excellence. Even that dress is wrong for me, she looks like a little old lady, and those "swoopy" moves look choreographed too, although perhaps I'm being a little unkind there.

I'd agree - the physical performance is taught / copied rather than being felt ...

Goodness me, those 'mannerisms' were taught over a video conference link, I think.
What a shame she couldn't be left to develop her own personality rather than be coached to within an inch of her life.

Some utterly sublime 17th century wonders here, sounding so fresh and vibrant. I can't wait to give this a work out on the big rig, the recorded church acoustic has plenty of depth on my cans.
I hadn't heard of Spanish violinist Lina Tur Bonet previously. Another rewarding discovery, she plays with great passion and verve; blessed with virtuosity without pretence. A quick glance at her Spotify catalogue shows there are likely other gems ... All the musicians from Musica Alchemica are first class such is the subtlety and nuance of the interplay and the music is beautifully curated.
Easily one of my albums of the year so far.
