I'm enjoying Qobuz.
And streaming to Dac/headphones.
Will eventually get a rig for the bedroom.
Hoping someone will produce a good streamer/dac/headphone amp in one box, but not £2000+

I was tempted to buy this streamer a while back but wasn't prepared to pay the RRP for one and they come up for sale second-hand very rarely.
I don't have the interest to buy one now I'm using a Sonore streamer whose software has proved so good, thus far. I cannot imagine returning to Volumio having seen how good a decent streamer interface can be.

The Audio GD DI-20HE DDC arrived today.
Threw it in the cupboard.
Will plug things in and try it out over the weekend.

Just upgraded the jumper leads for my ATC SCM19v2 speakers.
A set of Auditorium 23, replacing the Chord Silver Screen jumpers.

I found changing the jumper leads on my speakers to Coherent BD to be an unaccountably effective upgrade. This was a Tony recommendation and I was stunned the first time I heard them.

I've been looking for a set for a long time. Was wanting Audience AU24SX jumpers, but they are around £750 a set. The Auditorium 23 compare favourably to the Audience, at £210. And had a gift card I needed to use up before it expired. So almost like free cables! |

TAD must have close to the best jumper leads going for their own kit - you'd think
Nope, the Coherent jumpers were a ridiculous improvement

Have just bought a couple of things.
A Gustard C2 clock cable, and an LHY OCK-1 external clock.
Lets see how they pair with the Audio GD DI-20HE and Gustard A22.

Bought the LHY OCK-1 for a few reasons
Size - fits well in my space
Specs - reasonable for its price
Power - internal power supply
Price - under NZ$1000, so no tax/import duty
A few have said it matches well with the Audio GD DI-20HE DDC.

Bought a 1.5m Audience AU24SX AES/EBU.
Pricey, yes.
A bit in the red with this one.

So managed to pick up a pair of Auditorium 23 speaker cables instead. Less in the red for this one. Consistently marching towards completion. |
