Bughead reminded me a bit of that. I don't think I've seen such a user UN-friendly interface on any OS. Give me a Pi, Volumio, and my NAS any day of the week. Amen to that. When John brought round Bughead I had to laugh out loud at the ritual required just to play a song. Don't even think of wanting to pause it or change song once started. You would need two of those cauldrons and three magic wands to be able to live with it for any length of time.

Well maybe I was a wizard for awhile but saying that it was better than Jplay and any other windows player for SQ, but boy was hard to live with.

When I saw what you had to do with Bughead I had seen enough to convince me not to touch it with a bargepole !

After combining Paul's findings with my own, I'm now using these parameters in config.txt...
arm_freq=666 sdram_freq=333 core_freq=400 gpu_freq=333 over_voltage=-10 over_voltage_sdram=-4 hdmi_blanking=1 force_turbo=1 boot_delay=1 Listening today, this sounds subtly better, more musical and with no harshness. Very natural playback.

Not sure whether they've done any good or not yet, but...
hdmi_ignore_hotplug=1
and hdmi_ignore_composite=1
haven't broken anything.

I was rather hoping that hdmi_blanking=1 would render those commands redundant.
I have a quiet day at work tomorrow while my team re-cable the server room (we can't all fit in there) so I'll tether my phone to the Surface and do some research.

The way I saw it was that it would possibly equate to hdmi_blanking=2 but as that's undocumented I'm sort of doubling up.

Qobuz and Tidal have come to Volumio - natively! There's a catch - in order to support the huge R&D effort that was required, and some licencing restrictions, you have to join MyVolumio and use that image. It also offers auto syncing of playlists and remote connection to Volumio. MyVolumio is still in beta. See the announcement for more details. I'm trying to get the pricing for Free, Virtuoso and Superstar plans.

I've got no use for Qobuz and Tidal but being an inquisitive sort of bloke I've signed up and am currently downloading the new Volumio image. I shall stick to the free version but I figure that any future Volumio developments may arrive via the My Volumio path first.
Note to self - Rewrite config.txt after updating Volumio.

It seems so, Paul. They will eventually integrate Volumio into MyVolumio.

At least I'll be able to tell you if everything works OK by the time you get home from work, Martin.

Qoboz and Tidal are high resolution (limited albums) in 24/96 and 24/192khz it's just a shame they are polished within an inch of their lives, will demonstrate this for you Mike shortly.

Got MyVolumio registered and bought Virtuoso on a free voucher, got Qobuz on a free trial. All seems to be setup but cannot get any Qobuz track to play. Finds them ok, but Play gives a red 'failed to decode' error. Restart doesn't help.
Everything else - Spotify Connect and files - working fine.

I got sidetracked. Don't forget to re-enable SSH. That threw me for a while.

Does it need enabling? I'll do that in a while.
