A very long time ago in a house far away
My Sennheiser RS-140 headphones stopped working.
Eventually today, to try and find out what was wrong I charged the batteries, plugged all in
Works !
Wow. Add this to my technical expertise
Leave alone for years and try again Yes

Or is it just that since they stopped working you have learned that re-chargeable batteries need to be re-charged? Technology, Eh!

Could the reason be I snuck up on them with no warning ? Ears covered and comfortable for laptop listening, possibly other

Perhaps you need to be permanently "earthed" Mike? You could drain your Mike-ness to ground.

A lead attached to the RTZ Groundng box perhaps ? Could even improve sound quality

Could improve your life. After all, you won't be able to go very far (I'm aware you'll see this as an advantage).

Yes, the Sunderland plant is renowned even in Japan for its efficiency.

I remember, but still, swallow EU tariffs for all of the EU countries ? They are that good ? Well done the lads !
Goes to show Brits *can* make cars, and stuff. Do we just need Japanese leadership ?
Honda closing Swindon is sad Toyota staying in Derby
Would love to know the headline points in all those discussions

Yes, the Honda Swindon closure is very sad but I would put it down to their product range not matching UK demands in the way Toyota and Nissan have with their electrics and hybrids.
Honda invested heavily in diesel. Bad move.
Really sad, I loved my tour of the Honda factory on our CR-Z club day.

It's a shame Honda have lost their way and are not the innovators they used to be.
Having owned two Civics we were ready to buy the new one but found it rather bland and unexciting to drive surprisingly enough with its 'sporty' revamp. Quality of the interior left a lot to be desired too ...

It's good news for me, anyway. I've let my contents insurance "tick over" for years. I had it with the same company I bank with, it seemed sensible and, let's be honest, hassle-free. It's just come up for renewal and for the craic I thought I'd chuck a Meercat at it this year. Auto Sergei just offered to save me around £150.00 p.a. Obviously, I said "Ohhhhhhhh yes," to a well-known Bulldog. The down side is, it's the first step in me justifying to myself the purchase of that new guitar I fancy.

In similar good news from Basingstoke, I contacted Hastings Direct today about our home insurance, whereby said renewal notice had been for 100 quid more than last year for no good (or even any) reason. I complained, they chuntered. They then miraculously came back with a quote that was within 40p of last year's. I accepted.
Insurance renewals appear to follow an algorithm of making it outrageous and hoping that 20% of the population are stupid enough to auto-renew.

I think this is good news. I posted the following on Twitter this afternoon.

Of course, "Becky" has sort of missed the point in that the problem occurs only should UK legislation change, but at least the "no plans to change our sourcing standards" sounds hopeful. I've left the link in my first Tweet for anyone else who wishes to sign the petition.
