Tesco delivery today
Many items disappeared 2-3 weeks ago
Noticed some were back on so ordered them and crossed fingers....
Frozen spinach - yes ! Nice bread, (bigger range now) - yes ! Fruit loaf - yes ! Fruit and fibre cereal - yes ! (might be a few others I forget)
Says to me the supply chain is getting back. Assume some people will be either eating frozen spinach for years or storing it forever

I read today that some stores are even taking their "maximum number of items" caps off of the majority of goods.

In one of the very few posts of a "this (partially) restores your faith in human nature" nature recently...
My doorbell rang a little while ago, which was odd to say the least. It turned out to be a bunch of kids with carrier bags full of Waitrose-branded fruit and veg, and they were handing them out to us lonely old farts who live on our own. They all have a day or two of shelf-life left (the veg, not the kids) and will as you may imagine, last beyond that. The packaging was uniformly damp so I'm guessing they've been kept in a chiller somewhere, possibly even at my local Waitrose.
They offered no explanation for their kindness; mum and dad, whoever they are, had obviously sent the kids to avoid any personal embarrassment. And yes, they did leave them on the doormat, ring the bell, and then step back the required 2m.
I feel a veggie stir-fry coming on as there were a couple of courgettes included, and thanks. whoever you are.

We had a card through the door from a neighbour down the lane, offering to do shopping for us for no charge. We don't need his help but that's a charitable offer that really impressed us.

Saudi Arabia ends executions for crimes committed by minorsSaudi Arabia will no longer impose the death penalty on people who committed crimes while still minors, the country's Human Rights Commission says. The announcement, citing a royal decree by King Salman, comes two days after the country said it would ban flogging. How far from normality are some countries ?

Oh wonderful, let's praise them and forget all their slaughtering and murder from the past.
Oh no, wait, they'll still be doing it to adults.

Struggled to work out where best to put it.
It *is* good news with a huge BUT, WHAT !, expletive deleted and other.
They do not say what minors are likely to receive as punishment if it is seen they have offended. Hand/s chopped off ?
No more flogging but what else do they regard as ok ?

More football-related good news: Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham, Celtic and Rangers are among 50 European clubs who will use their social media to help find missing young people. The project, which will run on International Missing Children's Day on 25 May, was inspired by Roma. The Italian club showed videos of missing children when signing players over the past two transfer windows, and six children featured have been found. The 'Football Cares' initiative is being supported by Fifa. "With the huge following and global reach that these clubs boast, we hope that someone, somewhere might recognise one of the missing children in the videos so they can be reunited with their loved ones," said the European Club Association, which is co-ordinating the project. Clubs who have signed up for the initiative so far include Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund in Germany, Inter Milan, Juventus and Lazio in Italy, Barcelona, Athletico Madrid and Valencia in Spain, Irish side Cork City and Northern Ireland's Linfield. SOURCEMore about Roma's original initiative can be found here.
