Letter arrived from a Tracing company about a pension I might have. Been there before. Right pain and had HMRC on my case insisting I was being paid a pension I knew nothing about. Bearing that in mind I rang them. Did not want the grief I had with HMRC again Assuming it was this other bloke we talked, then talked more I seemed to match !? Gave my NI number. It's me ! The company that took over the company I worked for in the late 60s seems to want to give me money ! Hopefully more than 50p a year for the last couple of years, but hey, free money, who's arguing |

I would be prepared to wager that Amazon have done their research and know there's enough punters out there that want higher quality streaming at a competitive price. Spotify shouldn't be so complacent. I like the 9.99 a month for good sound quality but that's it. To me there is nothing special about their interface and will happily jump ship tomorrow if I can find something that a) works with Volumio b) is around the same price c) offers appreciably better sound quality to my ears d) gives me better options to organise my library |

They've also got a huge ready-made user-base to tap, in Amazon Prime members. There are a hundred-and-five-million of them in the US alone.

Spotify have an enormous user base and could easily 'sell up' some of them. I'm surprised they're not planning to, but perhaps it has more to do with obtaining and licencing sufficient hi-res titles.
Don't underestimate the quality of Spotty 320k though, it's way better than most people really understand.
