It's a solid purchase and slips down way too easy ...
What's your automobile of choice?

Sounds great.
Well tbh I don't even know what my automobile of choice is I've never driven any that I'd call impressive just daily commuter cars to work unfortunately. I have 2005 Toyota Carolla that needed a transmission flush and new tires and now the radiator is leaking.

Hey don't worry, I'm rocking a Mazda 3. Dang that's annoying though - the whole Corolla thing was meant to be about reliability ...

I'm rocking a Mazda 3. I love Mazda heritage, watched a great YouTube documentary from Mighty Car Mods about buying a mint RX-7 and driving down to Hiroshima in it. The Mazda factory is immense.

Just got a bottle of Plantation 5 yr old 'Signature Blend' Barbados rum. Meant to be one of the best entry level rums and it's the first I have tried in this well known range.
First aged in Bourbon casks in Barbados and then shipped to France for a further maturation in Cognac casks before bottling.
Let's see if it lives up to its reputation.

I can't recommend this rum to drink neat, it's rather crude and one dimensional but imagine a good mixer if that's your thing.
In this price range, Diplomatico Reserva is in a different league.

Does anyone else like Marsala?
I bought a "sweet" one from Waitrose for £11 and I think it's most likely better than any Port at that kind of price. Much more subtle in flavour, it's not like being hit with a sledgehammer like some Ruby Ports. A lovely aperitif.

For many years I used to get a bottle in at Christmas, just for a change - I settled on the Pellegrino Marsala that Sainsbury's sell, the Garibaldi Dolce - and a bottle of Madeira (Blandy's) too. Mind you, I also used to buy LBV Port by the case too, in those days.

I've got a bottle of Blandy's Madeira on the way. Are you sure it’s not Mandy’s Bladeira? 🍷You must get over there to do some Levada walks! You can also be more certain to find Madeira to drink, not Marsala.. 😀 🥂

Yes I'm trying to arrange a visit to Madeira with my mother, we'd both love to go.

Actually I'm not sure going to Madeira is such a good idea - I'm not sure I'd be bothered to leave the bar, this tipple is so nice! I do like the Marsala but this is more three dimensional, more subtle in texture and taste. I think I'll try one of their age statement offerings next ...

You must go to Madeira, when you’ve tried lots of Madeira you can move onto Poncha - not the mass produced stuff…the fresh low volume elixir.

Drinking a truly delicious Spanish dessert wine this evening - Torres Floralis Moscatel Oro. Intensely ripe sun-kissed yellow fruits - peach, nectarine and apricot with a hint of soft spices. Unctuous and rich in texture, bottled at 15%.

We opened a half bottle of Spanish dessert wine a little while ago and it was good. Sadly, I've lost track of what it was now.

You two nearly tempted me, but I had a hot chocolate instead.
