Be adventurous...Mix them! Would that be adventurous, or suicidal? The manufacturer recommends drinking both neat, over ice, or mixing cloudy apple juice with the rhubarb & ginger and red wine, soda water, and orange juice with the quince. I think that for starters it'll just be a few whisky-stones in a tumbler, and maybe a dash of tonic.

The Polish vodka in the opening post is superb with cloudy apple juice.

Interesting. I didn't know Brewdog had branched out into distilling. That's a useful reference site, by the way. The other one I use is www.thewhiskyexchange.com

I like the ethos of brewing and double refining their own spirit rather than utilizing bulk commercial spirit.

Rhubarb and Ginger Gin sampled, and it's a bit too sickly-sweet for me with apple juice, tonic water is better. To be honest, I'm getting more Sage than Rhubarb & Ginger from it.
I shall manfully fight my way through it, but won't be buying it again. I may try it with dry ginger at a later date.

I am intrigued. If pushed to choose my favourite white wine, not my favourite white to drink with halibut, or curry, or anything else, but my one, favourite, overall, white wine, it would be Gewürztraminer. My favourite spirit, for many years, has been Brandy, which includes both Cognacs and Armagnacs. Imagine my (pleasant) surprise when I read about this stuff, Marc d'Alsace Brandy. I shall be a good lad, and dispose of the three bottles of gin I bought recently, first, but I shall be trying Marc de Gewurztraminer d'Alsace Brandy. p.s. Gewürztraminer is brilliant with curry.

My local, the Queen Inn in Dummer, has a fabulous lager on tap called Curious Brew by Chapel Down Winery. I mention it because they use their winemaking skills to produce a beer with a rather nice flavour.

New discovery; Bounty Fiji rum, I tried it whilst over there. Idk if it’s cask strength, but it’s bottled at 58%.
It’s exceptionally tasty and cheap to boot!

In 2014 Bounty Rum won the Best Overproof Rum overall award, the Best Rum overall award (beating a field of 130 rum brands from all over the world), Best Aged White Spirit award, and the prestigious Double Gold Medal award, the highest honour for a brand at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition. SOURCEIt costs around forty quid a bottle over here when it's in stock anywhere.

It’s one of the few genuine duty free bargains still available - I got two litres for £32gbp! Makes a nice change from whisky.

Two impulse buys a couple of days ago - first, JJ Whitley's Hand Crafted Rhubarb Vodka. Caution, this stuff is delicious with tonic and a wedge of lime. It's very, very, sweet but the tonic tempers it nicely, as does the acid edge of the lime. I've tried Whitley Neill Rhubarb & Ginger Gin and it's not a patch on this vodka. It's got a "real" rhubarb taste, and aftertaste. The second was a bottle of Davna Hani Honey Polish Vodka, which just sounded interesting. That won't be with me until the new year.

I've been trying to source the Polish vodka in post #1 here, without much luck so far. I've seen plenty of the others in their product range.

At 90% the Marienburg rum is both tasty and a knock out. There is a good write up about it at thelonecaner.com/318/

I got a rather nice bottle of Italian lemon gin called Malfy. It's not half bad and about as aromatic as Bombay Sapphire.
