Look out for the one with jigsaw puzzles! ...and the one about the printer. That will resonate I'll bet.

One Dave Gorman so far. Not impressed. S'ok. He's hammering up an Epson printer

I've just discovered "Two Doors Down" which is, it seems, on season three now. I shall have to catch up with the first two series' soon. It's a rather 'ripe' comedy, set in Glasgow for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. It's one of those shows where you know people exactly like every character, and 50% of those are people you try to avoid.
The Mash Report has been excellent so far, and Matt Ford's 'Unspun', which has some similarities to The Mash Report is also quite entertaining.
I've been enjoying Reece Shearsmith's and Steve Pemberton's "Inside No. 9" too.
Good comedy (or at least my type of comedy) appears to be on the up again.

Agree on 'two doors down'. Looking forward in some trepidation to the next series of 'big bang' as I thought the last series not quite up to previous standards. Each episode seemed to be only 20 minutes too.

Damned is on at 22:00 tonight. I caught my first episode last week and instantly set my Freesat box to record the whole series. The cast is... Jo Brand, Alan Davies, Kevin Eldon, Georgie Glen, Himesh Patel, Isy Suttie and Lolly Adefope. Uncomfortable at times, going by last week, but very darkly funny.

Another post about the same program, Damned. It can be incredibly dark, and incredibly funny. I don't expect it to be everybody's cup of tea, but the cast is great, the characters well observed, and if you don't at least give it a shot you may be missing what is (only in my personal opinion, of course) a little gem of a program. It's on CH4 and I'd recommend watching from the start of this series. Oh, and it's co-written by three of the cast - Morwenna Banks, Jo Brand and Will (no, not that one) Smith.

Dave Gorman's "Modern Life Is Goodish" is back. It's actually episode 3 this week, but I forgot to mention it until now. It's still my favourite 'comedy' program of the moment.
Like Dave, I think I can honestly say I've been shaftisfied too.

Frankie Goes To Russia. The "Frankie" is, of course, Frankie Boyle.
Part one was tonight, and it was very good. He wasn't as 'outrageous' as he can be at times, and his dry wit proved he doesn't need to cuss and curse all the time to be funny. In fact, I hope this leads on to more documentaries fronted by Frankie. Part two is the same time (21:00 on BBC2) next Sunday.
If you like Frankie and can put up with football, or you can put up with Frankie and you love football, give it a shot. If you love both footy and Frankie, you probably watched part one tonight and have the recorder set for next weeks second and final part already.

Never fear. There's a lot more about Russia, and the Russian people, than there is about footy, Mike.

Thanks Paul. Being recorded There was a series of documentaries by a Russian film maker on Aljzeera. Fascinating. Used to watch RT a couple of years ago before it went downhill. That was also very interesting - like a different country !

One of my favourite shows returned for a second series last week, The Mash Report, presented by Nish Kumar. It's on BBC2 on Fridays, 22.00. It's on iPlayer if anyone wishes to catch up.
Language Advisory...
