Slate them all ya want but I think they're a great source component. I use mine through a bluetooth connection to the amp and there's not much in it between that and my Pioneer player or my Sony SACD player hooked up with decent interconnects. Coupled up with the other functions I also think they offer good value for money. Hopefully someone will agree!

Spotify's ability to store offline playlists and getting an iPhone really transformed how I listen to music on the go. I use a pair of Koss headphones which utterly blow away most other (portable) offerings and haven't been tempted to upgrade. I routinely download albums just before getting on the go. My daughter also loves her iPad mini, which I think is a much nicer form factor, easy to hold with one hand, than the standard iPad.

Yip Spotify offline is my saviour as well! I load it up when I'm home and bring a ton of tunes out here where we don't get streaming services. Absolute godsend.
Must try and track down some Koss headphones. Cheers!

My son often plays his iPod through the car stereo, and it sounds great, noticeably better than my Samsung S2. And that's through the iPod's headphone output too.
The car is a 2008 Mondeo, so nothing fancy in the sound equipment stakes.

Strange that. Mine get a right hard time and seem to live! I have heard the kindles are very good as well. How do you find the audio on them?

And audio books to help me sleep. I also have a cheap Coby from Maplin, at the office that sometimes plays music.

This is the best use of a IPad I have ever seen. It is on Facecrap. I prefer to blend...

Can't watch that due to it being so downright wasteful.
Sorry.

I finally had to bite the bullet and "upgrade" from my venerable old iPad (4th Gen). It still works perfectly, but the OS is at the end of its life and just lately a couple of apps have refused to install or update because of thet. My brand new old (6th Gen Nov 2018) iPad, however, has just updated to iPadOS 15.7, and according to GSM Arena it's slated to upgrade to iPadOS 16 too, whenever that happens. Looks like I'm sorted for another couple of years, although I'm guessng my iPad Mini 4 will be the next to go, although it's happy with iPadOS 15.7 at the moment.
