Not sure why you think that, DQ. We've explained ourselves perfectly clearly. If RD obeys the forum rules, we will post his messages as-is. If he continues in good spirit for a period of time to make us happy, we will lift the quarantine.
I don't think we can be fairer than that.

It is logistically and practically impossible to be a member of a forum if ONLY your posts are subject to delay that could be minutes or hours  RD was given many opportunities to tone down his invective. He even re-posted PM material that I had removed, in an attempt to have more membership read it. That action alone would constitute a ban in many other forums. We have been more than tolerant and the discussion is over. |

I'm sorry for those that feel this is over the top but as they are 'the usual suspects', their reaction comes as no surprise to anyone. The general concensus appears to support this and in any case is not relevant. The guys that run this have set down a clear set of guidelines. There is no trade here (and what has been attempted has been suitably dealt with) so the campaigning against the industry is not relevant here so is rightly not seen as admissible.
If posts are kept to the usual happy chatter between enthusiasts with a smattering of technical input offered in a friendly spirit, then I'm sure all will be fine here and warnings, quarantine and especially, banning will be unnecessary in the future.

Well I think you guys have been very patient so far, more than I would have been.. I think Richard has totally abused the forum for his own, wicked agenda, and I praise the moderation team for being so patient with his totally unacceptable and mostly abusive manner. I also think that a total ban might have been preferable, but at least the chosen course of action might make Richard think twice before he posts. Several members have said Richard is a clever man who adds greatly to the forum content, I'd certainly like to see some of that.  |

Not sure what my profession as to do with it , however , there is no logic in it . You can not be a member of a forum -
1] where there is a time delay on your posts - threads move quickly by the time approval is gained , it may be irrelevant , out of context or just daft .
2] The apriori vetting of a post is an unacceptable restriction on free speech and undermines the whole ethos you set for the forum , how does anybody know you are being fare , reasonable and even handed. Who wants to read RD's posts that have your approval !!?
Nobody in their right mind would tolerate such restrictions .
Have you read 1984?
