I have to be careful with the catered food where I work. I ask for a small amount for lunch. Teachers ask me whether I'm on a diet. No, I'm just eating what I need rather than being a glutton!

Veggie stuff again tonight. A brace of cauliflower steaks, sweet potato wedges, and stuffed red pepper. It was rather nice. The cauliflower 'steaks' had a chimichurri marinade which was quite tasty without being overpowering.
I should add that the 'steaks' cost £1.80 from Sainsbury's. Marks & Spencer are currently being mocked for selling a single, plain, slice of cauliflower, all done up in plastic packaging, for a £2.00 introductory price (normal price £2.50) as a cauliflower steak.

A moment of inspiration...and laziness.
A couple of corn and wheat tortillas filled with sliced chicken breast and chorizo, a couple of big spoonfuls of Heinz's new 'Creationz Mexican Beanz' in each and finally the secret ingredient - a big dollop of Gourmet Burger Kitchen Smoked Chilli Mayo. No time at all in prep and absolutely delicious.
I can recommend both the 'Mexican Beanz' and also the 'Veg Chilli Beanz' in Heinz new Creationz range for quick and easy tortilla fillings.

This thread seems to have gone quiet, so...
Tonight I had gammon that I cooked yesterday in my slow cooker. I cooked it with apple juice, brown sugar, and maple syrup. It was bloomin' lovely with new potatoes and cold baked beans.
Earlier, for lunch, I had Castello Extra Creamy Brie sliced in two to make it thinner, and laid on freshly toasted crumpets. Then I gave the whole lot 40 seconds in the microwave. I believe the correct term for the resulting cheese texture is "gloopy."
Now, please start posting in this thread again so I can steal some of your ideas.

Bacon roll for brekkie and nothing since. However, after a long walk around Sunderland Point with wife, mutt and camera, I have worked up a monstrous appetite for the lump of pork we will be roasting. Jersey Royals, English aparagus and another breed of veg (the identity of which is yet to be settled upon) will alongside it. Mischa, being a veggie, will be eating something or other made with haloumi instead of the pork.
