I've decided that buying a Tesla won't be an option in the future. Also... wouldn't there be the issue of a long cable dangling out the window?

My car is on an utterly hideous ship called the Hoegh Borealis, a vehicle carrier. MarineTraffic* has it at Singapore currently. * yes, really, a kind of FlightRadar for ships.

I've just lugged an expensive, hard-to-find and heavy original STi Brembo brake kit for the new car delivered this morning. This will complete making the BRZ an exact STi car (springs to come). Just looking at the build quality, I have no doubt of its stopping qualities (even compared with my current car's AP Racing brakes).

There are tracks nearby and I've tinkered with the idea.
The only problem with that is having one car that I've taken great care of means I really, really don't want to bend it.

The Ugly-Ship with my car appears to be going around the Cape of Good Hope rather than through the Suez Canal. Cost or troubled area? The good news is it hasn't sunk yet.

Yes, Robert. I've purchased a Subaru BRZ S Gen 2 from Japan, shown in the post linked below, which is currently on the ship located at the green arrow above (just off Madagascar). I did this because Subaru UK in their infinite wisdom decided not to bring it to the UK. This despite its twin the Toyota GR86 having sold out 400 units in the UK inside 90 minutes with no more expected. So they both got the demand for a mid-priced sportscar completely wrong. Unlike Mazda, for instance. I'm expecting it to be ready by late January. My late Xmas pressie to me! theaudiostandard.net/post/286186/thread

If you ever thought buying parts for hi-fi can be a challenge, try cars (not a rant as it's enjoyable - up to a point).
My current car is a Subaru BRZ UKDM (UK Domestic Market). I have bought parts for it from the US and Australia, as well as Japan. There are different parts for different emissions regulations (US especially), right-hand drive (US) versus left-hand drive (Japan & Australia), different light clusters and fog light rules, and different ECUs.
Now I'm expecting a Subaru BRZ Gen 2 JDM (Japanese Domestic Market) and the rules are different. Definitely a different ECU meaning I cannot use US, UK (for the Toyota GR86) or Australia tune maps. Parts are different for brake fittings and I have become used to translating Japanese exploded diagrams with my phone pointing to the desktop screen. Thankfully I've just found a US supplier who can supply JDM tune maps - a godsend. Now I'm trying to find out whether the performance exhaust manifold I want with its 'sports cat' will comply with the JDM O2 sensors in the car and not cause a check engine condition. What a minefield!
If you've gone glazy eyed, apologies. Just thought someone might be interested in another complex pursuit!

WTF?
If they focussed on improving their appalling reliability record first, then go for it!
