I'd hardly be stupid enough to pay £7,600 for a dram of anything!

Yes I saw that - the really concerning thing was that the dude buying the whisky didn't really appear to be much of a connoisseur ... If someone else hadn't been suspicious he would have been none the wiser!

I'll pay up to around 80 to 120 quid for cask strength, non-chill filtered Scottish, Irish (pot still) or Japanese nectar. Any more than that I find the extra cost kills the enjoyment. I must try some of the well reviewed Indian malt.

When you have that much money, £7,600 is loose change.
I still would not blow it on a dram though... It also makes me wonder how much the hotel paid for the bottle.

Would love to buy more Japanese whisky but they ain't cheap.

Definitely for the bottle! Drams in a pub can be horrendous....like buying a bottle. I bought four large Coal Ilas in St Andrews (not all for myself)...I was in shock at the price.

I saw a board outside a local pub claiming to stock over a hundred whiskies at 3.50 a shot ... I should investigate! Maybe it's from 3.50 a shot ...

Yummy - we still have some of the Grass left but sadly no more of the darker Kora Debu one.

I have just had a look in my cupboard, and I appear to have 35 different types of whisky. I think I need to start drinking more....

I have about half a dozen, but it always includes Glenfiddich which people buy me and is a bit cack. I use it for cocktails!
Balvenie Doublewood, on the other hand, is simply yummy.

Go out into the street and yell up at the window, "I bluddyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy looooooovvvvvvvve youuuuuuuuuu, Cheryyyyyyylllllll" at the top of your voice between swigs from a bottle of Scotch.
She'll soon make you come indoors.
