I have one of these which he has tasted. We are just a couple of whisky fans, who live next door to each other.

Heads up Japanese whisky fans! I've just ordered a bottle of Kirin Fuji Sanroku on Amazon for only £40 delivered. Very difficult to find outside of Japan - non-chill filtered and 50%. Really looking forward to getting my hands on this! www.amazon.co.uk/Kirin-Whiskey-50-Sanroku/dp/B01ASNW5II

Available on Amazon.fr for €44.90. If only I had just not ordered 5 bottles...
It appears that your bottle is coming from France.

I got back home from a long weekend away to find my whisky delivery had arrived. It was dropped over the wall near my letter box.
Fortunately, nothing is broken.
Just relaxing with the Kilchoman Machir Bay. Very pleasant....

That's good news.
I'm wondering if I am destined to ever see a bottle of Kirin - the last website I tried to order from ended up not being able to fulfil the order for no known reason and now Amazon can't even give me a delivery date for this bottle from France!

Let me know if it does not turn up. I may be able to help get you one, but I would have to post it to you.

Port Askaig tonight....
Whisky Exchange tasting notes: Nose: Rich with meaty smoke, burning logs, sea spray and rock pools. Palate: Milky coffee and milk chocolate follow stony minerality. Cinnamon spice and stewed apple develop. Finish: Sweet, spicy and very long – cinnamon and chocolate.
I certainly get the smoke and peat coming through. You can tell it is a young whisky though, as it does not have the smoothness or richness of a more mature spirit.

I sent an email to Amazon asking when I might receive the Kirin whisky and got a rather excellent response ...
They have been trying to source it from different 'fulfilment centres' but is going to be on the way to me in 24 hours. They have upgraded the delivery to an 'express' service and have also given me a £10 credit on my account. Nice!

Good stuff.
Fulfilment Centre - sounds like a Government run brothel!

I have now tried the four new bottles I bought. The Atholl Brose I bought went down really well at a BBQ I had at the weekend. It is a great "digestif".

One closer to home - hereThanks - that one links to the Whisky Exchange who have been out of stock for a while ... I'll see how much it costs to import from France.

I have personally used "Comptoir Irlandais" before, and I would use them again.

Yum. You can buy it at the airport, but only if you have to! Go to a supermarket.
