Truely Slinger, have a search behind the your three piece cushions for loose change and stretch to the Dalwhinnie Distillers Edition..... Quite Epic for £60.
I also like the Quinta Ruban as a nice change from a sherry cask dram.
Deffo right up your street Jules.

Just trying this Glen Keith Distillery Edition. Very pleasant, light, sweet and eminently sippable.

I enjoyed the Lasanta a lot, not had one for a long time though.
Would like to try that Dalwhinnie for sure.
Need to finish this infernal GlenDronach ...

The Ardbeg, as I want to know! Might have to wait awhile Martin, as I already have a Lagavulin 16 and two other Ardbeg's open (plus a few others!), so I have plenty of peat available for the mo
I don't think I've posted this before, but this guy is a top Whisky YouTuber (Roy Duff). Really nice guy, very generous and clearly loves a dram
It's a really good insight into the magic of Islay

For my part I prefer the Legacy to the 18 years.

Wow, that does surprise me, but I've not tried the 18.

Wow, that does surprise me, but I've not tried the 18. Not as surprised as I was Jules, I find whilst very smooth it lacks the depth and complexity I was expecting of an 18 year old.

I thought I had found a bargain on Amazon - Glengoyne 21 for 40 quid!
I was about to hit the buy button when noticed in the small print it was only 20cl - now that would have been disappointing!!

Lol, I remember reading a recent 1 star review from a guy who actually made that mistake.

As I come to the bitter end of the GlenDronach, I ponder future purchases .. I would love to try this particularly exotic edition of Hibiki, but not going to happen unless I chance on buried treasure ...

Yes, that's waaay out of my price bracket too. You ever tried a Hazelburn Jules? It's the only unpeated whisky Springbank make and it's triple distilled, so very drinkable for those not mad about peat. They do a special cask strength Oloroso yearly release as well. I think they're very good, but I like everything Springbank. Rarer than hen's teeth at the moment mind you, as they have not been in production since March, so anything Springbank from their core range is hard to find. I've been nursing my Hazelburn and I'm down to the last dram or two
Plenty of other whisky in the cupboard mind you

Thanks Tim, not tried a Hazelburn - the Sherry Cask release looks right up my street of course and the 10 yr old looks most affordable.

For me this is about the best i've had The Dalmore 18, i won a bottle at work a few years ago, at over £100 per bottle it's not something i buy very often, but damn it's good.

That is just wanton cruelty Roger - I love that caramel chocolate and imagine it goes very nicely with the Glengoyne!

I've just ordered Glengoyne 12 for only 31.75 on Amazon.
