No drain cleaner going spare then! I understand that Donald Trump has cornered the market in that, for the production of his patented coronavirus cure.

Drambuie over quality Vanilla extract ice cream....Loverly. Justin there are many single malts that err well into the sweet non oaky non peaty scale of things that you may enjoy and are more complex than Drambuie. www.scotchmaltwhisky.co.uk/similar-tasting-notes.htm

Irish is smooth and good value.
Try Powers Gold Label.
Buttery caramel, spice finish. Much nicer than a blended Scotch.
£25-28.
Scotch - Springbank 10 or Oban 14

I'm not sure I've ever tried Irish. There's something to pursue.

If we're talking Irish I suggest The single pot still Redbreast 12, or older if you will spend more.

What a useful reference guide. I seem to have gravitated towards flavours B and C whiskies without ever realising the connections between them.

It is a useful guide which will help me explore a little further. The categories each cover quite a wide range in themselves but this is beauty of whisky with how is varies in flavour so much.
