Hovered over the BIN button on this one...resisted In the end as the RRP on this bottle has skyrocketed over the last couple of years.

I have the Glengoyne and Revival 15 in the cupboard waiting for me to finish one of my two bottles currently open. I’m spending lockdown time on the important decision - which one to open?

Depends what style you are in the mood for Clive!
Glengoyne Legacy (assuming it's that edition) is a spicy sherry bomb like the A’Bunadh. Not subtle but I really enjoyed it.
I reckon the GlenDronach will be more subtle and complex with its much longer maturation …

Yes it’s Legacy Julian. I usually have a “cooking” malt and more special one open at the same time. When it comes to the time to open another it’ll be Springbank 12, cask strength. So...it’s Legacy and then Springbank. I’d better get to work clearing the way,

I'm still on the Ben Nevis. It's no hardship at all.

Have any of you Whiskey Heads experience with The Glenrothes 18

I've only tried the cheaper Glenrothes at a friend's house but didn't like it at all. Have you tried it as a guide to their style?

Diametrically opposed customer ratings, curious. I have had a couple of drams of Arrans The Bothy at a friends house tho, nice...

Yeah it's not the best term - I certainly wouldn't cook with it! It's for when I need a drink rather than giving it the honour of savouring it. Or it could be after a couple beers and 21 year old (malt that is...) would be a waste - or is that me being wasted?

Yes, beers and a 21 yr old wouldn't be proper self-isolation!

Somewhat disappointed with this one, tastes more like a bogo blended.
