Forgot to say that I'm very disappointed that there will be no more 'The Right One' - the stuff is so good I had no reason to try anything else! I'll give that a strong +1!!!

Well I've decided to try something new and it's approved by Nessie herself ... It's a German product from an outfit who also make a rather nice looking RCM.

Apart from the same of approval from Nessie, what made you choose that Jules?

Good question Pete - the only thing I can think of is 'Vorsprung Durch Technik' ...
I'll report back once I've given it a try.

Divine Audio are recommending the Nessie but also they say that Winyl Pro is excellent - this is a water based product without alcohol which makes 6 litres from concentrate. They say it doesn't form particles like Art du Son. Very economical at £28. The same brand also makes one of those gels that you let dry on the vinyl and then peel off ... www.divineaudio.co.uk/brands/winyl-record-cleaners

Cheers Jules... I'm hanging fire until you report back on the Nessie. I have plenty of the Tonar cleaner, so please don't think you're under any pressure

Can I say that any of the products I've tried other than Paul's requires a rinse with purified water to avoid noisy discs at least for the first play. This applies in particular to L'Art Du Son and Tonar. Perhaps someone can twist his arm to sell the formula.

Not so with the Clearaudio Pure Groove.

Is Pure Groove a concentrate? If it isn't it is mighty expensive at £40 for 0.5 litres and even £80 for 2.5 litres. Anyone tried Moth or the 'home brew' cleaners marketed on Ebay such as 'Into The Groove'?

I looked on ebay too and there is now a bewildering choice of home brew cleaners.

I got a bottle of fluid with my Moth machine when I bought it. How long ago was that? 12? 14 years ago? Since then I have always made up my own with alcohol & distilled water. I used to use a wetting adjuvent that is made for adding to herbicides! I can't get hold of that anymore though.

OMG - a 74 page thread!! No wonder people buy the ready made stuff... But great if you've found a formula that you think is worth trying - please let us know how it goes...
