As a result of a white paper by John Swenson on clock signals, I've ordered one of these, too.

Do you have the link to the White Paper you can share, Martin? I assume it is on the Uptone site somewhere.
I have just started the process of sorting out re-clocking to try with my Lector S192 DAC in the UK as it has a master-clock input. I have purchased a master-clock and now need a re-clocker (probably a MC3+ USB) to go with it as the frequency I need is 24.567 MHz. All I've got to do then is work out how on Earth I can fit it in!

The information I gleaned from it, relative to my system, is that sinewaves carry more easily down cables but are very prone to AM noise turning into phase noise inside the device (due to uncertainty around the trigger point). Squarewaves are more difficult to preserve with cables but are less prone to phase noise as the trigger point is more defined.
I feed a sinewave clock into the ER and a squarewave into the Mutec. The Mini-Circuits filter is a brickwall around 11MHz (just above the clock frequency), designed to filter out any AM noise from the sinewave before it reaches the ER.
I'm looking forward to trying it out.

Last night was such a good listening session, everything sounded just right. One thing I did was to experiment with volume. Just dropping it by 2dB hit the sweet spot for me. Perfect! James Taylor's Hourglass has never sounded better.

Some days you are just in the mood or ears / brain in perfect harmony perhaps, then the system really performs.
It's interesting how the most plastic / variable part of the listening experience (us) gets over looked. Often I find folk seem think their hearing is perfectly consistent / linear day after day, week after week, year after year.
Perhaps if we exercised more, drank less, did aural gymnastics??, we'd get an upgrade😂

You're right that it's variable and some days I notice that I don't have the head for extended listening.
However, I noticed that my listening volume had crept up slightly from -18dB to -16dB. I put it back to -18dB and, accepting that different recordings have different levels, it sounded just right with good dynamic range and a noise floor that allows the tiniest details to be audible. Louder is not always better!

Martin, how many amps does the MC-3+ draw at 5V and so what is your LPSU rated at? I have several Teddy Pardo 3.5A 5V LPSUs lying around doing nothing and would contemplate using one them to power a modified Mutex if I go down that route.

It draws about 800mA at 5V. The dual voltage Coherent QP-1 is rated at 2A or so on that circuit.
Your Teddy Pardos would be able to power one without any problem.

Revisiting music from a while ago has been very pleasing. Since my system gained its master clock, the timing and boogie factor of rhythmic music has been improved tenfold over before. In fact, I played one track (Jewel's Stand) and it still remains completely different (and inferior) on my half-decent PC system. That's because the main system pushes driving rhythms to the fore, making them thoroughly exciting.
I've been playing less well known albums by Jewel, Nelly Furtado, St Vincent, King Princess, Tal Wilkenfeld, Lake Street Dive, 4 Non Blondes, Arctic Lake, Fever Ray, The Knife, Steely Dan, Junip, Amber Run, Rosie Vela, Feist, Lissie, Linda Perry and others and they all sound immensely good with their driving basslines and infectious rhythms.
Next in the line-ups will be less rhythmic, more atmospheric gems like some of the Lana del Rey albums, Juliette Commagere, Sharon van Etten, Sheryl Crow, Norah Jones, Charlotte Gainsbourg and whatever the rabbit* hole leads me to next.
*that damned rabbit again.

The LKS DAC is on soak warm-up and burn-in after the latest mods. It works fine, the DC offsets having come within 1-2mV with the Vishays, which is excellent. I'm looking forward to a good listen later (the clock hates being turned off and needs 2-3 hours of settling back in).

The system passes the Feist - Undiscovered First test. It's a monster system destroyer of treble and upper midrange energy, homogenising into a nasty mess on most systems. When all the voices, percussion and chaingang-like drum come in, midrange drivers shriek and tweeters scream.
Otherwise, all is good with a nice balance, still keeping the incredible attack and rhythmic boogie but gleaning a little bit more from the leading edges now.
