There's a school of thought (started, I think, by RD) that says a cable should have a screen but to leave it floating. I think Tony's interconnects are wired similarly. If you don't connect it to ground then it doesn't act like a big aerial, polluting the ground plane with noise.
I don't have a fixed position one way or the other, but I thought it worth trying. It doesn't sound worse.
Why don't you make up two similar cables, one with screen grounded and the other floating, and try them both? I'd love to know what you hear.

It should be connected at the plug side and left floating on the iec side , IMHO.

The Weiliang LPSU has also arrived in this country, I've just paid customs on it and should have it on Wednesday. Cables, Black Ravioli Pads and Eflos already here.

Ah, yes. I must admit I was 'looked after' when it came to customs on my D70.
Of course those robotic muppets at DHL had to then go and spoil my good fortune.

No it was the fact that I paid the courier cash on delivery for customs charges and I was threatened with legal action after arguing with them for many months because they didn't accept I had already paid. So I ended up paying twice plus a charge on top of that as a penalty. Yes I am bitter!!! LOL.

The Weiliang LPSU has arrived. Only, it's not branded Weiliang, it's branded BRZHiFi. Exactly the same unit from the same eBay supplier. Perhaps they saw what car I drive? Those Chinese, you never quite know what you're going to receive!  |

The EtherREGEN is being delivered Monday. I've also ordered a Cat8 link cable for comparisons, and some more granite coasters. Double reclocking is going to be an interesting experiment.

I got a message from Fedex that it's coming today. Toys! Meanwhile, the LPSU is on soak and I have cables, BR Pads, grounding box all at the ready for extended evaluation. I'm going to enjoy this weekend.
