The whole album has almost everything you need to put a system through the mangle! That's the standout track though.

Just a couple of things. I've ordered two BlackDiscus Nano Donuts to place over the two toroidal transformers in my LKS DAC. Secondly, I was looking at my QP-1 PSU to Pi connecting cable with some disdain as virtually every other cable in my system is carefully selected for performance. I've therefore ordered a high current 0.5m USB to microUSB charge cable using thicker than standard wire to provide a low impedance for the Pi's circa 0.6A draw.
Hopefully both will give me at least a small boost in sound quality.

It will be interesting to see if the new USB cable makes an audible improvement. A nice cheap tweak.

hmm - worth trying one of these cables between powerbank and digione?

If it works for me, it should work for you, too, Jules. Peanuts price.

I had a small bulb light up in my mind this afternoon, piecing together some logical deduction and a conversation I'd had with TonyC some weeks ago. I had stood up, walked over to my Audiophonics streamer powered by the QP-1 supercap power supply, and thought "you idiot".
The QP-1 provides dual 5V power, 'clean' for the Allo Kali and 'dirty' for the Pi. The cable feeding the Kali is a short piece of Coherent DC cable and Tony stopped me from putting a snap choke on it when we first set it up. The other cable is a microUSB to USB cable (see post above) to which I had attached two snap chokes, one at each end. This is wrong: when a power supply is feeding a component like this, think of it as a single unified component. You don't want to prevent the noise generated in the component from being 'sinked' to ground at the PSU, that's the purpose of the capacitors or, in this case, supercaps. By choking the cable, I was inadvertently keeping the Pi DC rail noisier than it needed to be.
I took the chokes off and I swear I heard a slightly improved soundstage. Lesson learned!

Hopefully both will give me at least a small boost in sound quality. I've just ordered a couple of their bright yellow braided USB leads; as you say, they're silly money. I'm not expecting any improvement in sound, but if I like the leads I may replace a few of my other USB leads with " JuicEBitz" connectors. It's a shame that most of their other leads range from very cheap 'n' nasty to "looks like cr*p."

I couldn't resist the purple 'limited edition' colour for mine The right-angle microUSB connector is important for me as a straight-in plugged cable just won't fit inside the Audiophonics case.

Would like to measure these at some point Martin, would be interesting to see which part of the spectrum they are most effective at blocking.

Definitely, Tony. It would be interesting to hover the probe over a transformer and remove/replace the Discus.
I'm also hoping for a bit more from a much better quality Pi power cable.
