I'm not sure yet, Tom. I can't read it at that distance and I thought I might use it when guests are listening as they often want to look at my control tablet to see what is playing. It's a lot less distracting than having a TV in the room and I tend to know what I'm listening to unless I have Radio Paradise playing. I also frequently listen with my eyes closed.
I think it'll be for occasional use.

Some very small optimisations: set the LKS DAC and P10 regenerator displays to auto-off now that I know what the system is doing and streaming has become so reliable. The LKS, like the Pass, uses an electro-fluorescent display which radiates a lot of EMI.
Coming tomorrow: some inexpensive OCC mains cable (I have a spare gold plated plug and silver IEC socket) so that I can power the 4G router from the P10. Also a ferrite EMI sheet to try between the two transformers in the LKS to further isolate the digital from the analogue transformers.

Hi Martin that should help In a couple of weeks my new close quarter and wide band 7.5Ghz emi/rfi probes will be ready, so we can actually check this out in real time to discover if this makes a difference and at which frequency point(s) which we can maximize all upgrades to their fullest potential.

3m of Supra Lo-Rad 2.5 OCC cable made up with connectors going in to power the router as soon as I get home.

So now the TP-Link 4G router, via my 12V Weiliang linear PSU, is powered from the P10 regenerator. A couple of sweeps of Cleanwave to remove residual magnetics, restarting the streamer and I was good to go.
First on, some Dire Straits (Water of Love). Oh yes, that sounds cleaner with more apparent resolution. I'm going to listen to a few more tunes before putting the EMI shield between the two transformers in the LKS DAC.

It's the same story with Paul Simon and Joan Armatrading. More detail, calmer presentation. Almost like adding a grounding box.

I've now stuck the small 60 x 60mm ferrite EMI shield on the copper shield around the digital toroid transformer, between it and the analogue transformer, in the LKS.
This has had a small but different effect, cleaning up detail in the high treble.

Today everything has gelled really well. I think the clock and new PSU components in the LKS DAC took some time to settle. The shielding and router power have also made their contributions. Whatever, it's making musical magic today. I know when I play the 'link' game (one song leads to another) and can't get away that the system is really in its groove.

Tonight I applied a second larger piece of EMI shielding (from Laird) around the side of the digital toroid facing the circuit board. So now both toroids have copper shielding and the digital one has additional ferrite shielding from the analogue toroid and from the circuit board. For good measure, I stuck a tiny piece on the crystal oscillator to shield and damp it, too.
Going to chill with an evening of music now.

For a total outlay of about a tenner for two small pieces of ferrite EMI shielding, the effect far outweighs the cost. I am surprised at how good the LKS sounds tonight. A real step up in presentation - more present, more vivid, more natural. Very pleasing.

I've just tried a Blue Jeans HDMI cable (their top of the line FE series), which is a bonded pair design made in the USA and loaned to me to try out. This is for my I2S run from the streamer to DAC. Despite being a 2m cable, too long for my purposes, it doesn't half give my Audioquest Cinnamon a run for its money. I hear a very slightly less bright sound with a little more depth, but still retaining fantastic dynamics and detail.
I've just ordered a 3 feet (0.9m) length as, at this price, it's a no-brainer.

It is surprising little known number is it not especially as it's over 10 years old as you say no brainier for the very modest outlay

I've just received my el-cheapo dual-power laptop CD drive so I'll give it a try using Volumio's built-in CD playback capability.
Not saying I'll use it often, but it'll be nice to have CD playback in my system again.

Nah, it's more to play the odd few discs that don't appear on streaming and that I can't be bothered to rip!
