You are aware of one thing so can be more aware of anything else she stops doing 8.45 you may be able to guess what I'm eating.... Tea and Natex on toast - mmmmmmmm I must try this Natex stuff. I'm back in hospital for this next season so my food options are somewhat limited

It's a bit like Marmite or Vegamite but nicer
Then there is the glorious Meridian Peanut Butter I just had (no palm oil just peanuts) I could skip dinner and eat that on toast

Jealous. PB is verboten, after 30 odd years of hoovering up the stuff I developed a severe allergy - anaphylaxis, not fun. But I've tried the various Meridian substitutes (cashew and almond are both nice), though these days I tend to prefer the Pip & Nut equivalents (also no palm oil) - no doubt their PB is sublime.

Presumably Chinese wine? What's it like? No, Chilean. Wine drinking is still in it's infancy amongst the general population, but it's a fast growing market in China and there is a much wider choice available from when I first came here in 2006. I have only tired one Chinese wine, aptly named 'Great Wall' - it's about the same as a 3 quid bottle of wine would have tasted in the UK about 30 years ago, i.e. pretty shite! You can get good imported wine now, but it's at least 50% more than the UK. French wine is crazy expensive, it's that image thing again - it's no better than good new world wines, but the mark up is often well over 100%. A half decent French Cabernet that would be say 8/9 pounds in Waitrose is around 30 here. Madness and only bought by the Chinese, the ex-pats know better! Nasty stuff - they serve it in Karaoke a lot and dilute it with water. To give you an idea, Greatwall is China's biggest selling domestic brand, yet only sells about 10 million cases per annum - that's not very much for a population of 1.3 billion.
