Want one now... you should see the one that my Brother-In-Law's Dad has designed for himself, think it'll end up being bigger than his house once he's finished... but maybe that's the point

This is for those that can't have their own. We have 3 (!) sheds, all full up with wood, gardening stuff and general crap

I'm not even allowed 1 ... although to be honest we have possibly the smallest garden in Berkshire so it would dwarf it if I did have one.

I would love to learn how to work with wood competently Mike . TBH much of the electronics for DIY is beyond me . I'm sure that I could make some time to attend something like this and make some new friends too There's one five miles away and hopefully one on my doorstep soon .

The problem we will all have is being with old gits - much like ourselves I would learn the DIY so I can do it myself and probably on my own. There will be guys you are happy being with and ones we would avoid like the plague

Bit naive I suppose but I do live in hope

Spent some quality time in my shed today - making a new plexiglas back plate for my Quad 33 ... Would go to one of these communal efforts but I retired to get away from people Seriously though; the nearest one is an hours drive away

I spent good money buying one of the Keter sheds, and then spent another set of cash on getting workers to assemble it for me. But before I could even blink an eye the wife had already crammed it full with stuff from the loft etc. So somewhere in that shed I have half of my record collection, nearly all of my cartridges and expensive headshells, a stack of brand new TC-7510 and TC-7520 boards, and who knows what else. The prospect of emptying it so that I can create a "men only " area is now just an abandoned dream.

What you need is a shed Stan. Another one. With a lock on it.

It has a lock on it. But it was like locked the stable doors after the horse had bolted..

Sorry to hear that Stan.
Similar to what happened here, but I confess to cramming all sorts of crap in the sheds myself. Stunning how quick they can be filled up. Sorting the sheds is one of my projects this year - This probably means throwing a lot of stuff away
