You may get better Martin ? I pay Tesco/02 just £12:50 for everything I need including 4G and 28 day cancellation. I am a heavy user.

That's the thing, I need to choose from O2's offerings as no other provider works as well both at home and work. 4G in London is pretty sensational for speed, too, making most Wi-Fi seem slow.
It's not always about lowest price.
EDIT @davec I'll look at that as I've just seen your post.

Choose your phone and choose your provider as separate actions and you'll be fine.

I've just dropped my O2 SIMplicity payment to £18 per month and gone up to 4GB data. That'll do me for the next year.

I'm on virgin at £5pm. It's too much so I'm looking for a cheaper deal.

Make sure you get an EE (known around our way as Nothing Nowhere) signal before you go with Virgin.

O2 has a very good network now following a substantial investment by Govt as it's used by some of the emergency services. You also get to the front of the queue at O2 venues

Although I'm on O2 (Tesco), in rural areas such as Devon/Cornwall and Suffolk/Norfolk EE (Virgin) is often way better.

Generally I find O2 to be very good.

EE have the widest overage geographically on all 3 technologies, but on 3G, which is the one that matters for making calls, they are currently only allowed to operate on the 1800 MHz band not the 800 MHz band. The advantage of 1800 MHz is that it can handle much more traffic, but it's not nearly as good as 800 MHz at penetrating buildings, so indoor coverage can be poorer. This will soon be remedied as they have recently been given access. Not sure when it'll start to be rolled out though.

Given that I spend 12 hours a day trying to sort out EE customers' signal problems, I can only pray that you're wrong...

Given that I spend 12 hours a day trying to sort out EE customers' signal problems, I can only pray that you're wrong... So, I can complain to you! My moan centres around data allowance and fair usage. When you've reached 80% of your allowance you get a notification. Then when you've reached 100% you get a notification saying this is the case and for the rest of the calendar month downloading and streaming won't be possible - although you can still browse the internet and send e-mails. The notification states that downloading and streaming will not be possible during peak hours (4pm - 12pm), but outside peak times downloading will be available as normal. But it's just not the case. Every time when I have reached my allowance and tried to download something as small as a 16M vid, outside peak times, the download is simply stopped. Why bother stating downloading outside peak times is still available when it obviously isn't?
