Rightly, or wrongly, Wonky placed an order for a pair of Proprius Amps yesterday. I was close to placing an order for the "TVR" of amplifiers but the recent debacle has put me off. I had a in depth conversation with the designer, who assures me that they will be more than up to the job, if not I will use the updated distance selling regs to send them back. I can't see that happening though! It seems that you were referring to an NVA amp (and I mistakenly went along with the TVR joke). There is no evidence whatsoever that NVA amps are unreliable so please desist from product defamation.
Thanks.

Confusion over names here - Cagey on HFS is Wonkey here. Wonkey, please don't bring your argument with Richard Dunn here - if you have something to say to him, please don't use TAS as the conduit for it.

I understand Rd would have refused your order. And chaps the last two posts ,deary me. Give it a rest eh I thought this wasn't AoS. There is no criticism there. You are reading too much into it. I like back to basics gear, which is why I currently have a TVR and a Caterham. No extra gadgets. Both have some plastic body parts, and both feel right. If anybody should be giving it a rest, it's not me. In fact, I find your statement quite hypocritical.

I said chaps . It was the combined effect of the two posts not either in isolation . Please criticise what I write not what you think I write . Ta .
Once again , you tell me [ my statement is hypocritical ] you don't explain . Rhetoric is lazy logic .
Additionally hypocrisy per se does not defeat an argument .

For clarity: I own a TVR, so any jokes about reliability are also directed at me. I like TVR and I quite liked the analogy of the TVR being similar to NVA products. I don't have a bad word to say about NVA products, as my experience is based on what I own and it's quite good. The NVA amps were on my short list based on what people say about them. Sound quality rates highly in my opinion.
I have no personal vendetta to resolve with NVA or RD. We had a difference of opinion, which will remain a difference of opinion. My posts above were not to stir up trouble. If a happy user is allowed to make reference to a TVR, am I wrong to use his analogy?
RD said he would refuse my order, and that is his choice. I have no comment to make on that here, as it has all been said in the appropriate place. I do not believe I have brought any baggage across.
One final point - my TVR is the best sounding car I have ever owned. However, that itch is scratched and it will soon be leaving me. You don't really need more than one sports car.
