I'm so glad I bought the TIS when I did, as I'm now on a spending freeze for the foreseeable future

I know what you mean, for the first time in my life I have no income and won't have for a good year or so. I find myself always doing calculations in my head and remembering running totals of items I can sell to create finance for new projects. Never had to do this, but it certainly makes things creative

Thanks gents, that wasn't meant to be a sombre posts I'm very upbeat about the whole thing definitely going to have a career change who knows what that will be. John, also whilst I've been in hospital I've been modding the heck out of my DDDAC so that should be completely top-flight hopefully in the next couple of weeks . Then post treatment my next plan is to build a Wonfor Tower of Power where I'll build another 2 class A amps and they all stand on top of each other and all the heat sink fins will hopefully line up perfectly that's why I've mounted the heat sinks on the class A that I have now externally, i'm doing all this because I plan to go active with the crossover that I bought from speedy Steve. After that I plan to fit those whopping 15 inch Altec Dual concentric drivers that you saw last time John, the 15 inches will be my mid range and the Alantec horns will obviously by my tweets. And finally after that I plan to sell my Russ Andrews Torlyte hi-fi rack and build a piece of furniture to put my hi-fi on, it will be more like a coffee table then Anything else

Heating it won't be a problem though

It has been very frustrating being away for much of the past 10 days when I have had the NVA TIS to evaluate. I have been able to put in some good listening hours lately and have concluded that the TIS is indeed a significant step up for me and my system. I tried it in place of my existing Chord Cadenza I/Cs, in three different set-ups : between my Bryston pre/power amps, between my Chord Hugo DAC and the Bryston Pre, and between the DAC and the Power amp (using the DAC as a pre-amp.) In all three situations, the music sounded slightly louder than before, and was more open, albeit subtly. The soundstage definitely broadened, and dynamics improved. On a track like Nick Cave's "Far From Me" I felt that there was more space between the instruments yet the whole thing hung together so well. So, I think I need to buy at least one asap. Maybe I need two ? Thanks again to NVA for the loan. Anyone else would like to try the TIS? Sorry Dave, but I think it is going to have to be moved on very soon and hopefully not back to base.. Middle of next week is the main cut-off point I think, when the Doc is back in full circulation, so enjoy it while you have it

David, If you recall I inquired a short while back regarding the availability of a demo pair of TSS ? 1.5 to 2 metres would be ideal , If I may be added to the TIS list also please.

Oh Gawd, I'm sorry Get in touch with Alaska Dave by PM and he'll send it on to you. 1m is the only length available right now, but I hope you can shift things round for the purposes of the loan.. Hope this is ok for you.

Ok, I'll don my armour and ask when he's back in circulation fully. The old LS7 was well received I remember. Any favoured length? I think 5m would cover most loan requirements?

David....Perhaps Tony Stark might lend you something! Running valve mono blocks, for my part the shorter the better, 2 meters would be ample.

He's back, and don't I know it... I'll email him about the speaker cable. Apologies if I've been tardy recently - loads going on. [edit] - done

Thank you for the sit-rep David, I appreciate The tight rope that you have to walk with the ravening masses on the one side and HiFi's very own Father Jack on the other ;0)

I was reminded I received an email about the cable (two and a bit metres a side) which is going to Martint first and then on to you if that's ok.
If I've forgotten anyone, PLEASE let me know.
