I think Maldonado has had his day, he did well to win a race which a lot of people never achieve, but like Steve says above he is just too much of a lose cannon…

So who saw the latest article about the fact Mercedes now have achieved 900BHP out of their engine… If that is true it would suggest that it's going to be another Mercedes white wash this year… I just hope that Lewis was actually taking it easy at the end of 2015 otherwise that moronic child Rosberg might have a chance at the Championship!

If Honda crack their weakness in the ERS deployment, they have the makings of a strong package.

Yes Lewis needs to be in Serena Williams vs Sharapova mode. You are not going to win while I am around! Works a treat everytime. She can lose to others occasionally but not to that Barbie doll who stole baby Federer from her. Mark Webber called Nico Rosberg 'Brittney'.

I think Lewis will turn it on when he needs to.

It looks like Ferrari are going to be on it this season, unless Mercedes were seriously sandbagging. I hope Lewis can turn it on when he needs to as he looks a bit flat, although he may be playing a game with Rosberg.

Hopefully a more competitive season it's at least two teams capable of winning races.

I really hope the Ferrari has moved on and feel if it has it will be a two horse race between Vettel and Hamilton. Personally I would like to see Hamilton come out in front as I am a fan but I was really impressed with Vettel last year, he certainly fits snuggly within the Ferrari culture.
Hopefully Rosberg will be nowhere, he is a good driver but compared with Vettel and Hamilton he is completely our of his league.
McLaren look to have made in-roads with their car in practice, but they are still a long way off the times being set by either Mercedes or Ferrari so I cannot see either Alonso or Button challenging up at the front. I think it is really getting to the time where Alonso should hang up his helmet gracefully now, he was the class of the field before but in Vettel and Hamilton (at their best now) I don't think he has a cats chance personally.

I never liked Vettel in his Red Bull days but his demeanour with Ferrari now is professional and approachable and he is good to watch on the track. A true Hamilton-Vettel fight would be a formidable thing to experience. Alonso has become a bit of a grumpy git and should retire gracefully while he still can. Honda will get that engine right, they have the engineering wherewithal to succeed.

Couldn't agree more, Alonso's time has come to and end, he is still extremely expensive but IMHO not producing the goods. With regards to Vettel, I also wasn't a particular fan when he was at Red Bull, I always thought he was overly cocky and I didn't always like the way in which he treated Webber, but he seems a lot different now he has moved to Ferrari, much happy might I say. His attitude, working behaviors and maturity will certainly bring out the best of the Ferrari team. Seeing him and Lewis fight it out on the track will up the reputation of Formula One instantly. I just wish people would stop saying that Lewis doesn't deserve his last 2 championships, yes by far he had the best car, but he was by far and away the better driver between him and Rosberg. The cream rises to the top as they say and the best drivers almost always end up in the best cars so why shouldn't he be congratulated for the past 2 years rather than being criticised for having the best car.

Button seems a little more upbeat - at least they will be able to deploy fully during the whole of a qually lap this year! That is worth 0.1 - 0.2 secs alone and in a tight qually that is a lot!
As ever, even with all the "F1 is boring to watch" etc talk - I'm still eagerly awaiting the thrill of a new grid of cars revving up and ready to go at the seasons start. It's an enthusiasm I have you can't repress. It's not to with the drivers, the politics, archaic management, thrill of racing (MotoGP wins hands there) - all rather get in the way of things for, and more to do with the tech and new innovations, the undoubtedly impressive power to weight ratios and grip levels that you just can't find anything like anywhere else... Hope C4 is good for the job...

I agree, Steve, I'm really looking forward to it.
EDIT: I see that C4 are using The Chain for their theme music, a connection there with the BBC.

Have you listened to the remastered Rumours album? The bass on The Chain is brought more to the fore, gives it a much more impact full sound.
Roll on Motogp to:)

Yes, I noticed. It's more prominent on the DVD-A but still more so in the remaster.
