Pretty decent race - would've been nice for a little downpour about two thirds into the race to spice things up a bit, but I'm not going to complain with Hamilton winning, and narrowing the gap to Rosberg to nothing worth worrying about.

It was a good race and I loved Verstappen's manoeuvre on Rosberg. I wonder what the outcome of the investigation on Rosberg will be? It seems unfair if they wouldn't help Hamilton in Baku but they gave help to Rosberg today.

Blimey !! Yep, rules are rules, Hamilton had to abide by them when they sent him out with the wrong settings recently. (although the teams don't think these particular rules are necessary) That now puts the Hammer just 1 single point behind if I'm correct. Hats off to him, it was 44 points not long ago and some were saying it was too much to claw back and the title would be Rosburgs. Still a way to go and Hamilton will likely suffer penalties for number of parts and engines used but he's one heck of a fighter so hang on to your seats going forward.

Could be Rosberg is broken rather like Murray has done to Berdych and Raonic. On paper they could beat him but reality hits home and flaws in personality / technique / race craft & wet weather skills in Rosberg's case come to the fore. Okay it's not a straight fight like tennis, there's the team, penalties etc etc. But in a straight wheel to wheel fight Lewis has balls big as coconuts! I remember in Mansell's book, once when on winning the race, on the podium, Fitipaldi grabbed Mansell in the private parts, and said... "I just had to feel how big your balls really are", So brave and tenacious was that drive! Constant real threat of imminent death back then too. Not as bad as the 60's and early 70's but still a really and present danger...

Red 5 was a real joy to watch. Saw him win at Brands Hatch all those years ago.

Great and dominant win by Lewis at the British Grand Prix, superb... Max was also pretty much on one, nice overtake of Rosberg Shame Rosberg got a penalty, NOT lol, down to one point now, how does Hamilton do that

Interesting rumour going around about Apple wanting to buy the right to F1, could be rather amusing, sure Martin would be happy, NOT hehe

F1 isn't really that big. I'm guessing it is something to do with advertising then.

Apple are known to be working on a car project "iCar" (though I understand that the actual internal project name is "Titan"). It might make sense therefore if Apple were to get involved in F1, purely for the marketing value.

Just re-read this response from Nico Rosberg after the Austrian collision with Lewis
“I am absolutely gutted, it is unbelievable. The sport sometimes… I was sure to win that race and then I lost it on the last lap. It is pretty intense.
How on earth is this guy so naive and arrogant that he thought he was 'sure to win', what's he ever done to have that level of confidence? Lunatic!

Rosberg seems to be losing his composure over the intense competition from Hamilton. So Rosberg was 'sure to win that race' but Hamilton was 'arrogant' for thinking the same thing? Rosberg needs to concentrate on his racecraft and not try to cheat his way into wins. The thing is, he doesn't really want what he says, a clean fight, he just wants to win at all costs. Reminds me of Schumacher.

Schumacher had real talent as well though (pains me to say it, as I dislike him heavily!) as well as being unfair on the track. Rosberg is fine in clear air, but he can't win from halfway down the field. He is definitely losing his composure, as I'm guessing he has known for a month or two now that Hamilton was coming up fast on his ass, and he knew things weren't looking good for him.

Lewis put it in the barriers in 2nd Practise on his second flying lap and was out for the remainder of the session... hopefully he and the car will be fine for 3rd Practise and Qualifying... with Hamilton out, Rosberg posted the fast lap... in both the 1st and 2nd Practise, Mercedes were over a second quicker than the rest of the field!, looks rather ominous.
