OK thanks. A couple more questions.. I expect there might be a few components with feet that are taller than 19mm - have you thought of a 'Big Boy' version? Has anyone tried them under a turntable at all?

Not here Chris , I don't have one and Gary has a Gyrodek which we couldn't put the feet under . We only tried the feet under my server as we had quite a few to try , some of which were not mentioned as they were home made efforts and were pretty dire TBH . So we kinda ran out of time . I will be trying the feet properly under my Rega BrioR and my Rega DAC ( heavy cases ) when I '' wrestle '' the feet back from Tony . If I did have a turntable I would certainly be trying the Rockin'Rollers under it .

They were very effective under my Ayre SACD player, but I couldn't try them under my turntable. Different requirements, for one thing.

How heavy is your Ayre Martin? My Accuphase is 20kg(ish). I think they might do very well under my pre amp and phono stage.

Has anyone tried them under a turntable at all? A 35mm version would be no trouble but I considered there's usually the possibility to remove existing supplied feet. The original thinking was low profile for smaller and lighter equipment. A little redesign could make them taller and stronger without adding much cost or changing performance. Agree with Martin, in the case of turntable support vibration damping is king and I can't see the Rollers approaching SDS pads and platter for this application.

ebay order placed Well, my eBay order for the Rockin Rollers arrived last week, and I have finally got around to trying them out. Cor blimey - I had gotten rather bleary of equipment support widgets - but these RRs deliver more focus, more in-room presence. Natural reverberation around vocals is clearer and more distinct. And that's with just one support at the front of my amp and DAC, rear rubber feet still in play. I'll live with this a while then try a component fully supported. Nice one, Steve EB !!

Cheers Jerry Most importantly, your faith in Foo has been restored! Was a bit worried that you'd been cured, now that's no example to be setting the young ones is it.

I just bought the X2 rock and rollers from Steve thanks so much. This is a variation of the original design A Really nice upgrade and worth the extra money compared to the X1 (very simple to upgrade)

Looks like a flat top and bottom with rollers inbetween
How's it compare to the one flat ?

More punch and clarity Yes it is X1 with a just another pad of two rollers. It is free standing so holds in position due to the grove and weight (one on top of the other)

Yup , I've had the X2 feet in my system for the last few days and agree with your assessment John . These have provided me with another , far from subtle , upgrade to the SQ of my system .

Have you tried all 3 feet under your gear yer Jerry . EB now have a new set of attatchments for the Rockin'Rollers called the X2s which provide another audible improvement .

Have you tried all 3 feet under your gear yer Jerry .Err, no. In hindsight it was a mistake to put a single one of the set of 3 under two components. Now if I remove one from under component A so I can put all 3 under component B, then component A doesn't sound as good. So it is impossible to form a view on how the sound is affected. EB now have a new set of attachments for the Rockin'Rollers called the X2s which provide another audible improvement .
Pah, bad as bloody Musical Fidelity, bring out new versions all the time. ... I suppose I could invest in another set.

To keep it simple for non techies like me
Electrickery type things
Absorbing unwanted outputs that interfere with signal if I get it right... John ?
