Brilliant, a tortoise called Floyd! Our last dog, a Border Collie was Jethro (but nothing to do with J. Tull, as most people assumed). Jed was a one man dog, always close by. We also had a silver tabby cat called Slug.

Is that a Yutegonian Barrington? Fine animals Hi Chris, Utonagan you mean and no but very similar he is a Northern Inuit , I'm not sure how the two differ I know the NI's came first and within the breed a difference was spotted and the Utonagans broke away and have their own society. Both dogs are the result of Wolf-look-alike breeding until it was perfected and now standard. Siberian Huskey , Alaskan Mulmute and German Shepherd were used to produce these dogs and they are indeed fine dogs. Non aggressive , very friendly , loyal , obedient. Malek (founding kennel name) Northern Inuits are the Dire Wolves in Game of Thrones , superimposed a bit. Seven weeks old :- ![](https://farm4.staticflickr.com/3857/14847586368_1a3680e275_c.jpg) 11 months :- ![](https://farm6.staticflickr.com/5579/15033831822_5b7d875d26_b.jpg)

![](http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii114/jandl100/19SampL_zps4e5d20de.jpg) Taken about 12 years ago when I had Avantgarde Uno speakers. Sooty (grey) is still with us, but rather larger (especially in girth!). Lara (white) sadly died a few years ago of heart problems. Lara again ... ![](http://i262.photobucket.com/albums/ii114/jandl100/QuadKrellLarry.jpg)

I've only ever had one instance of 'pussy damage', and that was 30 years or more ago when a cantilever went awol when I stupidly left a tt lid up. Cats and hifi get along fine as far as I am concerned. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) -- notice the glass plate over the amp so minimal fur gets in! You just have to work with the situation rather than avoid it altogether, imo.
