I suppose being a young un in the 70's i remember a few good things.
Hot weather aswell as Big Snow falls My dads Ford Mk.I Capri '3000E' Emerson, Lake & Palmer 1977 Jublee street Party Gerry Andersons UFO & later Space 1999 Life without a computer & a mobile Phone Proper Telephone {Still have my original GPO '706} The odd one is my parents were a lot younger & different to what they are now, a difference i don't like these days.

Comet, when it was a proper warehouse store with flattened cardboard boxes strewn around Pine louvered 'saloon-style' doors!! Orange and brown sofas Prawn cocktail - yeuch! Cars with rusty holes in their bodywork Green Shield stamps Adverts for chewy Texan bar - The Mighty Chew! ("Sheriff, Black Dan's escaped and he's coming this way!" & "Bite through the chocolate and chew.......real......sloooooow") Long thin scabs all the way down your lower leg from running through brambles Two and a half pence for a bag of crisps Half pence pieces!

The 70s started for me in the YMCA in Birmingham with I think Philips quarter track tape deck Connoisseur BD1 deck, (supplied arm ?) Sinclair Amp Some ex Telephone rentla broadcast speakers Ended in West End near Woking with Akai tape deck Fons CQ deck, SME arm Rotal amp Leak 2075 speakers 'Real' hifi some way off
