Can anyone tell me if the above gent is still around please? I messaged him about three days ago enquiring about his record cleaning solution as I have run out. I was informed by my usual source, Analogue Seduction' that it was not available due to supply problems? I know the Doc frequents AoS more than here but I really don't want to log in there again just to find out.
Can anyone direct me to a reliable source other than the one given above. Thanks
Seriously considering going the DIY route for record cleaning fluid as I always encounter an alternative brand simply because thats what stocked by the dealer/s I approach, any suggestions?

Ron - try sending the Doc a PM, which should translate to an e-mail to his mailbox.
I would like to think he would honour the same discount for TAS members?

I did PM the Doc about four days ago but nuffink + nada so far? I have practically used up my 0.5ltr bottle of 'The Right One' cleaning fluid (the first time I've tried this brand on recky from herein) which did about 40 LPs but I still have over 2,000 plus more to go so commercial brands work out mucho expensive and I hate paying out £15.00 for a half litre of cleaning fluid which equates to a full bottle of good Scotch, gulp, the latter also enhances the sound of music with feet comfortably placed on the coffee table does it not ? . I see that The Right One is also available at a more economical 5 ltre container (circa £30.00?) but I could be wrong on this one... anyone here able to tell me, thanks? I'm a bit peeved about this as I am after a large quantity of this cleaner and you would think that anyone in business would chew on my wallet to get the business, eh what?! I've been reading up on the London Jazz Collector web site about cleaning records and their recommended brew looks good to me so I've started to buy in the ingredients required for my own DIY brew. So far the most costly ingredient is IPA from Maplin's at £14.99p for 1 litre can. I've already got 5 litres of distilled water so all I need is Ilford Iftol wetting agent. If this concoction is okay for the likes of the US Congress archive Library and the British museum it should be okay for me. I take the thought of 'years of research' into record cleaning fluid with another ice cube in my scotch. By the way sorry for the 24 hour delay in coming back here but I was out all day yesterday. Thanks again all JB

Do share how the brew worked Ron Will do JohnO, by the way I would recommend open windows and doors when cleaning records with IPA as a constituent ingredient in your cleaning fluid especially if your RCM is waist/chest level on a table. You are, after all, snorting alcohol fumes!!!!!!

I purchased some more Right One a week or so ago via Ebay. Quickly delivered so he is still in business. Also has been posting on AOS.

Folks, just to let you all know what's happening. I have been suffering from diabetic retinopathy causing bleeding of my retinas. If I bend over or lift heavy weights, I have been getting retinal bleeds. The drums of chemistry, weigh a lot and I have been unable to make the fluid up. I had a small stock left that was spoken for by ebay as it was the number listed as available on there.
The good news is that the consultant has signed my off after 8 weeks of laser surgery and I plan to start production again in September.
Thanks for your patience

My sympathies, Paul. I have my retinas scanned every year and, while they show very tiny deterioration, so far they've held up ok.
Here's hoping for a full recovery. We missed you!

As promised the record cleaner you know and love is available again. I have mixed and quality checked a batch of 200 litres today and it's being bottled as I type. all sales through eBay, but there will be no more trade sales and the price will be reduced to £12.99 for 500ml, £24.99 for a litre and a massive saving on 5 litres at £65.00 shipped to the UK. I will have them all listed in the eBay shop shortly. I only have 4 5 litre size bottles, till the new ones are delivered next week
