Just needs a shot of caffeine for a perfect drink! That one has caffeine, = it was perfect - it was the Grounded beans, not the decaf ones I showed roasted and drink in the afternoons. 😉

If you want to try something interesting, check this out. Was given this by the manager when I left the Oriental Jade hotel in Hanoi. TBH I thought I'd chuck it in the bin. However I knocked up a cup using the supplied hardware yesterday and it tastes like no coffee I have ever had. Far from it. I actually like it, though. It comes out thick and smooth with just a couple of teaspoons worth and a couple of runs of hot water. You just have to try it to understand it. It's so different I can't say whether you would like it, but Google it and it is available here. I am going to explore more Vietnamese stuff especially from beans for espresso / lattes. The stuff I drank at various places in Vietnam was fairly shite TBH, including egg coffee. This isn't.

BTW get number 4. The hotel was serving number 5 for breakfast. I wasn't keen, but I did ask them where it came from as the post-it shows. Photo in last post isn't clear. Sang Tao 4 (Trung Nguyen). The energy coffee that changes life so it says on the packet.

Love this!
Good to go out of one's coffee comfort zone sometimes...

It's the completely alien deviation from what you expect coffee to taste like that gets me.
Curious stuff. I wonder why it is just so different. Need to research it.

I just stepped into the time machine to go well before I existed. Seems pretty normal. Apart from goats eating green beans.

Nice, never tried Wogan - definitely my type of bean though
Pass them often though, so maybe I should?

I'm drinking the Honduras and very nice it is too, with a mouth filling buttery & oily character, rich, slightly decadent ...
I don't buy from Wogan often as they don't seem to change their range much and I like to try new things, but no doubting the quality.

I'm laughing at what a decadent coffee might taste like?

I'm laughing at what a decadent coffee might taste like? decadent dec·a·dent : characterized by or appealing to self-indulgence - a rich and decadent dessert - the hotel's decadent luxury

I don't buy from Wogan often as they don't seem to change their range much and I like to try new things, but no doubting the quality. I used to do that a lot, swap about, and had a HasBean subscription for awhile plus one off's from loads of different places - made my head spin eventually, so I don't do it any-more. I drive past Wogan when I go to gigs in Bristol and keep thinking . . one day I'll stop? So I think next time I go over I will.
I like the sound of "they don't change their range much" factor

I'm currently on the Honduras which I think I got a slightly below the usual standard this time. Still pretty good, though. Had it many times before. This one impressed me the most recently:

Funnily enough user211 that's the one I've decided to try first. Columbian beans have been my favourite for sometime now.

Columbian has been traditionally my favourite too but I find it very difficult to acquire the style and quality I like so have been branching out a bit in that continent ...

Vietnamese is a massive branch.
So weird it's not true compared to trad coffee.
TBH I am not sure it really is coffee it is so far from what we are used to in the UK.
