Looks great but could be hard to repair or get parts for.

You don't see these very often - Celestion Ditton 88.

I don't think many people have. The tweeter looks the same as the one in the SL range, but it's not. A second proper bass driver rather than the waffle and wheeze radiator in the 66.

Yes, two proper bass drivers are what attracts them to me.

Not really Hi-Fi, (Jim): eBay.co.uk/itm/401013324848A substantial aluminium gear knob at less than £4. Might have use as equipment supports or perhaps feet. Has a 25mm centre hole.

There are all sorts outside our category of hifi that could do a great job Some lateral thinking required, save a load of money and do the job well
Clever little washing up pad the boss bought. Works really well, looks like some swarf from a lathe

No affiliation - just trying to point out a bargain.

Oh God Chris, what have you done? The TAS email inbox is now bursting with messages from manufacturers of speaker pads, outraged because their pads are better. And they're all demanding a right to say so here.......on a forum that doesn't allow trade accounts.
What shall we do?

Gosh, we must accede to their demands and allow cod-trade accounts with 'special rules' so that they have their 'right of reply'. How could we have allowed ourselves to be so biased? ...or we could tell them to get over it, grow up and move on.

Those little details, such as what you sit your speakers on can really tune a system. It's all the sweeter when you find a non-hifi (often non-rip off because of this) solution.
For components, I really like the Clas Ohlson anti vibration pads. My ability to paste links has gone again but they are £10.99 for 4 X 4" pads.
Annoyingly I failed to save a thread with a manufacturers brand name for the stuff they cut up and sell to make these. It's apparently much cheaper again. FWIW I prefer it to Isoplats and other sorbothane feet. I reckon it would be good as an internal damper for casework too. If only I can find the thread again.........
