Beat me to it! More absorbent if you use Comfort fabric conditioner.

jeez, what a tip! How could anyone relax in those surroundings? I'm guessing it's a bedsit where space is premium ... quite sorted compared to the one I used to inhabit

I might be wrong, but it looks like they have listed the pair separately (a quantity of 2). Somebody's clicked to buy one but that will only be a single speaker. They were still a bargain at £250 each with the stands.

When buying music on Ebay a couple of points. I check Amazon before I jump in. Often Amazon is lower than the start bid on Ebay. I had Fairport Convention - Rhythm of the Times in my sights so checked Amazon. Ebay was cheaper where it was at the time. By coincidence I left the Amazon New and Used page up last thing last night. First thing today out of interest I refreshed the page, price down about 20-30pence Intrigued I refreshed it a few times today. Looks to me as if a couple of sellers have software auto reducing on Amazon and the price has reduced around 6 times since yesterday. The lowest price is currently being fought over by two sellers. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B0000891L7/ref=sr_1_2_twi_aud_1_olp?s=music&ie=UTF8&qid=1457215077&sr=1-2&keywords=fairport+convention+rhythm+of+the+timesI will continue to refresh to see what happens Another point for vinyl chasers. Amazon seem to have decreed £1.26 for post on CDs, fair enough, but also on LPs I picked Heavy nights - Passport for £1.64, post £1.26 (from Germany !) Great packing to withstand almost anything and quite fast delivery time <later> Down another 2-3 pence ! <later still> It's a downward bidding war ! Might go to less than I paid on Ebay if they keep this up <Monday> Both sellers still there but now a lot more £2.93 and £2.94 They were around £1.20 first thing.

Yeah £3500 new and he paid £1500 for them but couldn't remember the make and model? Pretty sure if I'd spent £1500 I'd know what I bought even if it was 15 years ago

I noticed the size of the floor tiles, indicating a large room. It could be some flash Harry who's not into hifi and just bought them as jewellery. By the way the serial numbers are written and the crossovers are in the stand, I don't reckon they would be cheap. They went for only £50 so I reckon someone got a bargain. I'd live to know what they were though.

They remind me of something - are they by any chance an old Duntech model?
