Well, you'd have to clamp them together or it might get a bit disastrous if you nudged them!
And the gap between the lower shelf and the top of the table underneath is quite shallow (about 10.7cm), but you could slip a small bit of kit there.
But, yep, if the overall spacing suited it could work quite well.
